From the sounds of it Lambo only used to rock up on matchday and let Culverhouse do all the boring training and other stuff .
This was actually the first time Rich, but then I realised that this is really a Neil Adams thread, so I put it in it's own thread as it is really a new subject. I didn't say anything about Neil other than he was also leaving his family in Scotland. There's nothing at all wrong with that, it was the "fingers crossed that it works out" that seemed strange to me. Like everybody, I hope this works out and we kick on from here, but I still have reservations about this appointment, especially given the performance against Brentford last week. This is a forum - you have your views and I have mine.
As I recall, Lambert's family came here with him and then moved up north because of schooling issues later on. Regardless, that wasn't my real point. It was the "fingers crossed it works out " that seemed uninspiring to me. I think we all hope it works out, but I can't find much to feel confident about in these appointments yet, but perhaps a good win at Brum tomorrow will change all that.
Lightweight? I bet (unfortunately) I could drink most on here under the table. Now on pint no.7 and feeling a bit peckish, time for a vindaloo me thinks (hic!)
Thank God! I thought I was going to come on here to defend AN against a 'Canary Call' type attack, only to find that KIO wandered into the wrong thread after his 3rd pint! Methinks a 'wee chat' is still going on now!
For all the praise we have given AN naive is starting to sum up our approach. We are such a horrible defensive unit, you feel that every time the oposition attack we will concede, and we usually do! Out? No, but we need to seriously sharpen up at the back or we will be bang in trouble very soon. Bah!
The difference was that Newcastle did tighten up in the second half and we didn't. We had 56% of possession, 18 shots to their 11 and matched their 6 shots on target (all of theirs went in!). Leicester showed our vulnerability to counter-attacks and Newcastle took full advantage.
General you can't do that. Suggesting AN doesn't walk on water and our defence is not very good in one post. All joking aside the honeymoon is well and truely over, welcome to the premier league.
**** me its all about you and your victim mentality isn't it? I swear Ruddy concedes more often with a shot on target than any other goalkeeper in the PL. I'd like to see some stats. He was great against Liverpool, but too often he's not stopping shots other keepers do. Time to give Rudd a chance IMO.
There's no victim mentality if was just a semi humorous way of agreeing with the general. Maybe Ruddy does concede more often with a shot on target than any other goalkeeper, but there again he's the only keeper playing behind our defence, so maybe he has to deal with more shots on target than most other keepers. Anyway we're now getting into the sort of conversation that I think tends to put other posters off. So as I said elsewhere I'll go back to lurking for a while and leave you to your stats.
