As an Arsenal fan, I realise this situation has **** all to do with me, but I just wanted to say that if your argument is that he/other footballers should set exemplary behaviour for children, then fans at the ground should follow suit too because all sorts of vitriolic abuse and profanities are used in the crowd which children have to listen to for 90 minutes or more. Not exactly a reasonable environment for a kid to be in to hear that language, is it?
McClean doesn't seem like the brightest tool in the box, and what he did no doubt exacerbated the situation, but I just think the whole thing is a storm in a teacup. From the video itself, it didn't seem that bad. The way Graham and Cattermole reacted was ludicrous as well.
Just my opinion on the matter.
