Well, clean sheet, more organized but absolutely no threat in our team. Settle for that point all day long after recent games and all our injuries.
Not a bad result. Some promising signs. We probably could have won with Studge or Ings on. All we missed was a man up top to worry them.
Sakho was immense in defence. Tottenham had the better chances, but we had more of the ball in dangerous positions but with Origi upfront. Draw was about right.
Lots of positives really. We were better defensively already and still with the exact same players - so more room to improve. Players played with more heart and looked like they cared. The team looked more like a team! They hunted in packs and pressed together. I thought Migs, Can and Sakho had great games. Moreno was a good outlet, but took too many risks defensively on the ball. Was lucky a few times. A point away to Spuds who've been playing well is a good result imo.
Not a bad result considering we were playing with 10 men A good game for Klopp to make some decisions from.
For me Mignolet was MOTM by a country mile so why Owen gave it to Dembele I don't know. Could have been 4-0 without Migs. That's worrying, but apart from the sloppiness we defended OK on the whole. It's going to be hard work for Klopp
Got away with keeping 11 on the pitch. Probably would have succumbed to Spurs onslaught if Milner had rightly been sent off. Well done
yeah you could see the defence looked better this game. it took Klopp 3 days to improve the unit that Rodgers couldn't do in three years. not totally watertight but an improvement.
I actually thought Dembele had a great game and stopped our attacks many times. He was also one of the few players who kept the ball well for them despite our pressing, which set them up for their attacks.
Sakho was my MOTM - dealt with everything with ease. His trademark move is the chesting down a high ball and playing out. A very good away point IMO - given the lack of fitness required, and injuries, I'll definitely take this and I can see a lot of positives.
Agree, but Dembele had a good game too. I was curious to see what Klopp could do in about a week, and I was impressed. Man Utd, Man City etc have looked a lot worse at White Hart Lane
I would have taken a point from Spurs away with the injuries we have. I know people are slagging Origi off, but considering he was very isolated I thought he did OK. Held the ball up well at times. Coutinho was not that good today, Lallana was useless and Milner was lucky to stay on the pitch. Overall a good result, but a lot of work to do.
Really pleased with the pressing we did today. Mignolet saved our bacon, Sakho was immense, so good on the ball as well, Origi tried but doesn't read the game well and doesn't have that spark that we need upfront. Overall delighted that we looked so much more positive.
It's amazing how we haven't been relegated when we apparebtly have so many shot players. Mig isnt good enough (despite apparently keeping us in the game and getting motm) Skrtel can't defend Allen is apparently **** offering nothing Lallana is apparebtly **** and offers nothing Origi is apparebtly **** and not good enough despite being 20 and playing 16 mins of prem football before today Rodgers and Klopp are both geniuses for managing to get this team to compete in midtable
