Do you know what a professional footballer medical entails?

Injured players pass medicals every window GA, the doctors aren't looking at broken fingers and dead legs, the scans can be looking at blood cells, inside lungs, the repairing of old injuries. Your logic doesn't apply to this, so back to the drawing board with your analogy.

Why do you always try to be a smartarse GA? You seem to get some sort of value from pulling up people on their spelling, or grammar, or just being a pedant in general.

You must get a kick out of it or something. I find it a very strange concept, if I did that in real life to somebody face to face I'd fully expect the person to give me a slap.

I was just making the point, Terry, after your sarcastic ridiculing of Relic's opinion, that things aren't always as 'clear cut' as they seem . . . . and I'm also aware of the in-fight that's currently active with you both, and am not 'taking sides' but I thought that your last post was a little bit unfair

I've got nee idea why I'm defending Relic, mind :emoticon-0112-wonde

He seems to want to only speak with facts so I put one there for him, he wasn't aware of this fact so he made a judgement, or an assumption. I merely corrected him, there's every chance Congerton knew he had a history of failing medicals... you were about to drop £2m plus probably wages on the lad, surely you'd do some homework, no?

He took a gamble (Congerton, not Relic) and maybe thought his injuries were behind him, possibly 'worth a punt' and probably would have been worth that punt, he's a footballing guy being told what to do by a business man and a solicitor at a football club.

Relic's a big boy, it's "Watter off a duck's back", to him. Maybe he'll start to understand how the forum works if he's prepared to be more open minded. If not, I'll be back at work in a few days and I'll leave him in peace, to continue being a bitter ****.

I had a cold last week, but I'm alright now :emoticon-0100-smile

I might have another one next week, but I don't know :emoticon-0145-shake . . . . I know in advance that I could get one during the forthcoming winter period, but there's absolutely no way of knowing that, or the severity of it if it happens, with any certainty until it happens :emoticon-0112-wonde

I also broke a couple of ribs playing football a few months ago, but they have been okay for ages . . . . this could happen again in the future, but I don't expect it to :emoticon-0145-shake

    That doesn't mean that it will or it won't . . . . I just don't know :emoticon-0106-cryin

Well I hope you get better if you get worse, ill keep my fingers crossed just in case it happens or not.

It is easy, but well beyond a dick-head like you, Manc Sh*thead. Just because a man failed a medical before doesn't mean he's never recovered. Go back to Rounders, man, and stop pretending you know anything about football. You're a f*cking laughable embarrassment.

That wasn't the point was it though you whispy ****ing coffin dodger? You said "No way could he have known that in advance". So I proved you wrong. You can try and twist and turn your way out of this but there's every chance that he knew Fer had previously failed a medical and he was dealing with a player with a past reputation for failing medicals. Just admit you're wrong, it's not even a big deal, you have no humility, all you seem to achieve by arguing with me is showing how much of a stubborn old ****wit you can be if you try hard enough.

    You're ****ing pathetic Relic.

You didn't prove me or Lee Congerton wrong. What you 'proved' is that he'd had a medical problem before. Nothing more serious than that. Let me educate you a little about football here, Manc Sh*thead. In 1971, Leeds United wanted to sign a brilliant young player called Asa Hartford from West Bromwich Albion. Leeds rejected him on the grounds that he was suspected of having a hole in the heart. Asa went on to win a League Cup winners medal with Manchester City in 1975 and a lucrative career with Scotland. People do get over injuries, though rarely mental deficiency such as the sort you suffer from.

In 1971... is that all you've got Relic? History. Does that define your football knowledge nowadays? You've got nothing, all you're doing now is ranting. Funnily enough, I've made a full recovery from my mental illness, I'm glad you've poked fun at it though as it more than justifies me calling you a decaying ****ing corpse. Do you have any of your own teeth? How about your bedroom... quiet at night is it? You ****ing bitter, rotten sack of ****.

Both as bad as each other for me - you blatantly don;t like each other and have a problem with each other so, my recommendation, rather than spoiling threads bitching at each other, put each other on ignore - that way this little in-fighting feud you have going on doesn;t impact the board - I feel like a dad having to tell my kids to stop arguing FFS!

FWIW - I have no issue with either of you and time for both

Yeah, that's what I expect from the likes of you, Manc Sh*thead. But do you really know anything about football though - that's the point. I doubt that my teeth have much to do with anything except wriggling out of your pathetic ignorance of the game.

P*ss off - idiot. Go back to rounders, or posing in front of a gym mirror. My teeth, indeed! <laugh>

Thing is Marcus, I know I'm being a ****ing dickhead. You lot are a tolerant bunch, you put up with a lot on here (me being one of the worst things!) and Relic takes you all for granted, he uses it as a place to spit his bile and debunk any opinion that doesn't fall into line with his own tunnel vision views on anything.

Would you let a chump with a guitar aged 97 tell you you know nothing about guitars, even though he can't play anything, all he does is whine on about how guitars used to be made in the 30's?

That's the new point? The old point was clearly settled in my favour, thanks <ok>

Err I'm not gonna sit here and say I know everything but I have certainly played it a lot, watched it a lot and been to some amazing places around the world and taken in different football cultures, I'd say I've a varied knowledge, always a student until the day I die though, unlike you who seems to think you're a professor.

I edited my post after writing that terry and added a bit more! But it is very annoying from my point of view to have a thread completely derailed by people who have no time for each other and, instead of making things personal, try to keep the comments on the board on topic with the OP instead of arguing and fighting with each other. It pisses me off when people have their bitter little in-fighting mid thread and it turns personal instead of putting ones point across and arguing your point (Rounders/teeth/coffin dodger etc.)

I have no issue with either of you - I disagree with some of the comments but I make my point when that happens - just does my head in having to read 15 "my dad's bigger than your dad" posts to find a worthwhile comment

Good idea, Marcus - he'll be on ignore in one minute from now. He's clearly more interested in age-ism than football, so what do I need this f*cking imbecile for? Can you believe it - my teeth? <laugh> Good point - consider it done. Let's be rid of the sore-losing idiot c*nt.

Like I said mate, I'll be off again soon, I'll leave Relic to put you all in your places when you try to challenge any of his opinions. I'm just speaking the truth to him, plenty of other people have told me how they'd love a go at him cos he's a prat but they don't want to rock the apple cart on here... I've nowt to lose, you're a mod mate, go ahead and ban me if I'm out of line, but until that dirty old pig accepts that he can't shut people down on a forum intended for discussing opinions, I'll continue to fry him.
