Wouldn't be so sure the Don will run chaps, firm in the going, I don't think Elliott will risk the monster myself. One of my horses to follow running at Carlisle 3.50 SHANTOU VILLAGE. No prices up yet, likely to be odds on no doubt but if there's any odds against I'll be playing. This is Mulhollands best horse, you've been told
Joseph O'Brien might have his first runner up at Loughrea PTP, Galway this Sunday. Minella For Me an unraced 5 y-o is among the entries there for owner John Naller. Joseph hasnt got his training license yet but is a registered handler with the Irish Turf Club so is allowed to run them in Point to Points.
Opened up 10/11 with Ladbrokes which I missed but took 4/5. Absolute hack up job this tool. If anything is within 10l of him I'll be pretty surprised. Nice card at Punchestown, old boy SHANTOU FLYER in the novice chase is the complete outsider of the field, 12/1 in a place. Probably wants another half mile in this company but he's not without a chance. A day for the Shantous perhaps!
Morning all, racing isn't too shabby today so I've had a dabble with a Yankee... 2:10 Carl - ENDEAVOUR 10/1 3:15 Carl - RELIC ROCK 10/3 3:30 Utt - ALTA ROCK 9/2 3:55 Punch - THE GAME CHANGER 11/8
I wonder if connections of Don'tdropmein have named their charge thus in order to avoid giving the saddle monkey his riding instructions verbally?
Shantou Village should deffo oblige this afternoon but I can’t believe how far connections are sending him for this £5k novice hurdle. Bradford-on-Avon to Carlisle is a round trip of near enough 600 miles! Surely they could have found an event closer to the county line. Who am I to question ‘Mullers’ Mulholland though?!? Certainly knows what he’s doing and the barn are in sparkling form with 6 of his last 17 runners winning.
There might be a nice betting opportunity in the Carlisle bumper today in the shape of Groundunderrepair. Trained by Warren Greatrex (whose bumper record is second to none) this Milan gelding is sure to know his job today and his main market rivals can be taken on. Cloudy Dream has to carry the 7lb penalty for a fairly modest win in a Hexham bumper and David Pipe's PTP winner Still Together was very disappointing on his bumper debut when a remote 3rd. Currently 7/2 available for Groundunderrepair and I will be helping myself to a slice of that
Also backed Alan King's Duke Of Sonning in the juvenile hurdle at Uttoxeter (2.20) - win over 12F on the flat last month and the yard's juveniles are usually very well schooled and ready to go first time out.
Morning all, no bets today, so I fully expect a couple of CL winners with Germany Calling et al avoiding my money!! It is well worth having a read of Paul Nicholls quotes on Betfair Racings twitter feed from last night. Some interesting snippets that were new 'news' to me.
Thanks for pointing that out, Aux Ptit Soins for the world hurdle both surprises me and delights me as he's in my 10 to follow
Longsdon sends 3 to Carlisle today and with mulholland sending 2 up there as well I will do a small win acca £2 returns £177.18 GL today guys if you're playing Dontdropmein 5/4 Germany calling 13/8 Shantou village 1/3 Loose chips 11/4 Coopers friend 2/1 Fingers crossed I'll be eating steak tonight instead of baked beans lol
