Blimey. Never has the cliche 'A Game of two halves' sprung to mind.

Two major defensive errors put Colchester into the lead after Town regularly fumbled the handling and passing of the ball. Sordell and a couple of other players regularly broke through our defence to have a chance of attacking our goal and his pace was really causing problems. Eventually a cross got hooked by Ellis into our net and this was followed up by a back heel that resulted in a stunned player getting the second goal. Town seemed to not get out of first gear for the whole first half bar the off play by Brown, Clark or Cole.

The second half brought two subs in Barnett for Clark and Kaikai for Ellis. Within a minute we had a goal from a lovely cross by Cole headed in by Barnett. A string of well played football led to Black providing another opportunity for Barnett who chested the ball and knocked it into the net. The game moved on to the second sub getting the rest of the glory, Kaikai received a lovely ball from Cole and stuck it past the keeper. Thus was followed up by the fourth goal by Kaikai who was provided a lovely shot by the newly subbed on Lawrence rmwho replaced Black.

Wow what do you say about a game like that? Lack of confidence? Or is it something worse? We can win a game, but need to cut out the errors.

Ellis possibly missed the header, but was Percival Knight being stopped from playing football by their number 15 for the second goal? The Lawrence ball to Kaikai was a great goal.

We do try to play passing football, but it does fall apart when we get put under pressure. Odd thing on Saturday was that your team didn't really put us under pressure, we just had a very ****ty first half. Sordell looked your biggest theatre apart from our own defenders.

I hope colu_ mike is being ironic. Otherwise he needs to borrow my glasses. None other than a certain Jose Mourinho was very complimentary about our style of football last season and he knows a thing or two about the passing game.
