That's two weeks today. Thank you Oddball. Jim Diamond died the other day but I couldn't post it. I figured Nines might appreciate marking his passing because of that song he wrote for "Boon" given that Boon was a Smokey.

Hi Ho Silver!

Hi Ho Silver!

I did post about Jim Diamond's passing on the 'Music Thread.' I didn't realise Boon was a fireman though. I just remember the theme tune. Jim Diamond's dad was also a 'smokey' too, strangely.

Well I figured it was the right thing to do. Not so sure now considering Betty thinks I flounced!

You can't bloody win can ye mate? :frown:

Your self-imposed sabbaticals seem to be a fairly regular occurrence, Trav, which makes me wonder whether there's another reason for your absences. Having mulled it over for....ooh, what must've been seconds, I've narrowed it down to be one of the following three:

1, your mum & dad have grounded you for urinating in the homemade parsnip gin again;

2, you're a government sleeper occasionally activated to undertake secret missions behind enema lines and other back passages; or

3, you're on the blob, get all irrational, and your husband had fled with your laptop and locked himself in the attic until you put the knife down.

All of the above

Herr Uber I had to Google the "blob" one but all three are very good guesses. I salute your imagination Sir :emoticon-0102-bigsm

The fact is the Mods wouldn't ban me so I had to do it myself. I was a bit peeved they didn't but what can you do?

You've gone soft in your old age (Ooh-er, missus).

I remember that Jim Diamond song, although it was a bit cr2p.
I should have known better.
Welcome back Swords .:emoticon-0148-yes:

Flounced is a great word Swordsy...it means to move in an exaggerated and angry manner....Just as u described to Uber...when you were annoyed that we didn't ban you......as u correctly say....a bit peeving but what can you do.

Welcome back Swordsy I have missed you....truly

Is that the one near Hailsham/Eastbourne? or is there another one around.
That's the one my late mother was manager there ... Many TV crews used the hotel in the 80s/90s
My claim to fame was with Led Zepplin who performed there following the launch of a group they sponsored AirRace. My late parents were good friends with Peter Grant
I once took Peter Grant all night fishing in his moat He was a great man. Zepplin, I grew up with as well as on few occasions Bad Company
My mate was still Jason Bonham drum tech up to a few years ago
I was friends with Warren Grant for years

Michael Elphick was a laugh a minute as he was there for 6 weeks a real nice bloke
I also met Smith and Jones

Great memories
