The Beatles also wrote and recorded rock music.

I wouldn't call what they wrote as Rock music, it's to mellow to be Rock.
Very true and Ringo did write some of the music on the Beatles tracks, granted not song writing as horsey said but still talented - left handed drummer <ok>

You could teach someone in a few of months to play to his level on drums, I've never heard a Beatles song that has any difficult drum beats. And of there 27 number 1s, he never wrote any of them, just a few album fillers

Tbf mate your definition of Rock is yours(so is mine btw)but some Beatles songs are classed as Rock Classics within the music industry, and yeah there are different strands of Rock like metal, alternative, acoustic etc but their later stuff was very different and very more Rock like than their early rock'n'roll stuff.....innit:biggrin:

The stuff played in Wigan wasn't. Still going strong today as well, see adverts for all nighters weekly.

Wigan Pier is full of mutant wools.

It's like watching the results 2 generations on from nuclear testing.

I'd say they where more a pop group than anything, even though they liked to be seen as rock stars, as it sounds better. There early stuff I wouldn't class as rock and roll either. Elvis, Chuck Berry and similar acts are what id call rock and roll from back in the 50s and 60s. The Beatles have a very different sound to that

That's an absolute crock of ****e.

You gave Suarez a £200k per week contract, so you've broken this supposed wage ceiling (who's knocked you back due to it, and who's even confirmed it exists btw???)

So that smashes the theory that you won't / can't pay the wages, it ends there. The reason you can't sign the very best, is due to lack of CL football and some utterly dogshit transfer decisions, based on the moneyball bollocks

Do you even bother reading things? <doh>

I'd already said we broke that structure on a rare occasion; ie Suarez. I also said Suarez was long gone in that post you quoted.

Occasionally (aka once) paying top wages for one player isn't a club paying top wages is it. Its the abnormality!

I also said not having CL football doesn't help so well done for pointing that out too <applause>

PS... have you even realised the irony in your comments? You claim we're big wage payers despite only providing one example (Suarez) whilst claiming the lack of CL footy is the reason despite one player (Suarez) having joined whilst we were unable to offer CL footy! [HASHTAG]#tobeslogic[/HASHTAG]
