I would contend however that Townsend is a player whose performance could be massively improved by coaching: somehow when he plays for England he doesn't seem to have the pressure to perform, so relaxes and his skill shines out. Playing for us he always seems to be trying to hard.Townsend is a worse player because he's devoid of a brain, to begin with. Unlike Walcott, he rarely has any useful end product to his endeavours.
