I don't believe that Ancellotti would take the job - he will be one of those waiting by the phone when LVG steps down and he knows that being the RS manager in the meantime would rule him out of the job completely.

Norbert would be a great signing for Liverpool, similar sort of approach to Rodgers just infinitely more competent in pretty much every area. Tho' a lot depends on whether he would be willing to cut short his sabbatical rather than wait and see as he'll have plenty of offers in the summer.
I do also wonder if, having implied he left Dortmund due to being unable to stop his players leaving for bigger clubs, he'd willingly join another club in that same situation. Particularly with Coutinho now looking like being on his way to Barca, possibly in Jan as he's not cup tied.

True. But whether he will be able to attract many good players with it remains to be seen. It's also a new situation for him to be in - taking a manager who has over performed on a budget and giving them a big pot to spend is not always a recipe for success, just ask Moyes and AVB.
