I was over the moon when he came back and I would have liked to see him stay - the results probably would come. Seems like a very decent bloke as well and much respect for not taking any compo. resignations in this manner are virtually unheard of these days as managers just cling on waiting for the club to make the move so they can get a good payoff.
However, I have got some doubts about him as a great manager. I still don't get why Watmore wasn't given more of a chance, I don't understand why Fletcher is near the squad (but thanks for the goal on Sat), and I don't understand why good defending can't be coached into the back four. Now here's one to provoke - most seem to think Allardyce would keep us up, but the only way that is going to happen is to sort out the defence. If SA can do that is he by definition a beter manager than DA? At least for a team like us anyway? Can't believe I'm even asking the question but I think we've got to agree with DA that he's not right for us now, and I'm afraid I still have to question some selections.

I think you're maybe right mate - "he's not right for us now". In fact, I believe he's just told a Dutch programme that fighting relegation didn't suit him. He's used to chasing titles, not fourth from bottom.
