Eh ??Your mental.
Call yourself Sunlan fans, piss off.

He is going from manager to manager because it doesn't seem to matter what he tries or who he gets we end up struggling, so he tries again. Nowt against Ellis at all and believe he has the best interests of the club at heart..
I don't hate him but do think he needs help running the club as he's going from manager to manager and pretty soon there will only be Harry Redknapp left to appoint. God forbid.
I can sympathise with those who're turning on the bloke. He might be spending his money on the club but that's not enough. It would be fine if he spent less but spent more wisely.
He doesn't spend it thoughl. "Football men" do those stupid things.
Yeah and he needs to make it work mate. He needs to have greater control over his football club. Surround himself by the best on the board, the best in the backroom, the best on the pitch. It's his job to make a success of the club. It's his club. No one is going to do it for him.

Couldn't agree with you more. Let's stop believing in "football men" who've blown miillions on sh*t and let's see Ellis put real "business men" in managerial positions.
Have to say there is some re-writing of history going on. Short has spent a lot of money and been let down by the advisers around him. He appointed Niall Quinn as chairman who was an utter disaster and gave out ludicrous contracts to ****e players. Not sure, over the last 5+ years, what more Short could possibly have done to satisfy fans who are against him? Swap him for Ashley any day.
How does he go about that though? All the logic in the world would have suggested Quinn would be a very shrewd appointment, and it was a disaster imo. It's understandable that SHort has decided to go and do things his own way after that.I hope no one's accusing short of not caring, not spending or not trying because that would be utter ****.
But he needs to start surrounding himself by people who will do their jobs.

Quinn isn't a businessman. From what I've read his property portfolio lost him millions. His telecommunications company lost a **** load. He's a nice chap. Well loved but I've never seen him as anything other than a footballer.
So I guess you either poach someone established from a rival by throwing money and ambition at them, hire someone proven but out of work or create someone yourself.
At the moment we've tried to create a sports executive in Maggie Byrne and it hasn't gone well.
That's one good option mate, the only one IMO as finding someone out of nowhere who has all the right attributes would be like finding a needle in a haystack.
I get the impression that Short may be a little dis-spirited at the minute having tried nearly every different approach in the book and having it fail every time. I doubt he'll be looking to splash big cash on anyone at the minute as it's proven to not be a guarantee of success.
