Allardyce to Sunderland I'd have thought, sounds just his sort of gig does that.

Only if the DoF goes, Big Sam likes to call the shots! <ok>

As a Sunderland fan yourself Dave, who would you want to get the job?

I think Big Sam is the man to turn things around for them, but it won't be pretty. Sean Dyche is also a front runner though my friends aren't keen on him!

Allardyce is the logical choice for Sunderland, and right now it's probably the best job for him that'll come up over the course of the season. Outside the bottom three, I wonder who the next appropriate team to sack a manager will be, all look happy, or would be after something different.

Lambert will surely be spitting feathers if Neil waltzed into the Liverpool job. Not that it'll happen. I think the fans and board have decided they need a "big club" manager.

Yep agree, I'll be gob-smacked if Liverpool decide to experiment with someone on the way up again.

Surely McLaren and Mourinho can't be far away from the trigger too... I'd love to see what Mourinho could do at a smaller club with smaller budget etc. I'm sure his ego would never allow it but be an interesting experiment.

The Binmen think that MM could well take over at Sunderland can't see it myself though. McCarthy is in the twilight of his career and Ipswich will in all probability be his last job.

Big Sam would be perfect for Sunderland, so don't want him to go there! I was a bit surprised Brendan didn't get a few more games, came as a shock to me.

Hmmm, stay in sunny Spain or move to sunless Sunderland? Decisions, decisions.

Wes and Brady started on a great night for their country! Martin and Whittacker started CB for Scotland and Dorrans came on, during a pretty respectable draw, that there were so close to winning. Our Canaries on tour have done pretty well :)

Might not be his choice for long, he's hardly been pulling up any trees over there so far

Allardyce appears to be favourite for the Sunderland job and if he gets it he could well keep them up. Got a feeling of de ja vu about this though and Sunderland will in all probability be doing this all again next year.

Think Mbokani scored for DRC against Nigeria.

Ha. He had a decent game considering Ireland's lack of possession, but my vote would have gone to McCarthy. He was excellent.
