Looking at the races at Longchamp, the ground appears to be riding on the slow side of good but certainly not soft.

Candarliya was hardly impressive winning the Group 2 Prix de Royallieu against moderate opposition, suggesting that Treve beat trees in the Prix Vermeille.

The years haven't been kind to Maureen Haggas...

What do you mean, Dexter? Is she starting to look like her dad?

I much prefer Gina to Emma Spencer. Something about Emma that i can't warm to. Smug. Not for me.

The problem with Emma is that in twenty years time she is going to look like her mother. Having not seen Gina’s mother, she might be the better bet going in blind...

Well done Zebrahead, or Ste I mean <ok> was a smashing price in the end considering the company he has been keeping all season.

Boom! Top tipping lad.

Newcastle pushing the self-destruct button ...................... 5 goals conceded in 17 second half minutes

I hate that miserable git Ryan Moore - best jockey in the world my **** great book of rides for coolmore / stoute and hannon and has a 2/5 winner all day grr !! <steam><steam>

6.30 Wolvy Opera Barron win 3s
Decent day at the coalface so going to sink a few suds and watch the Chelsea match followed by the Rugby. Will back Eden Hazzard to score first to make things interesting. On another note I was dissapointed to see old Audrey Roberts take Ageuerooo off when there was half an hour left to break the league record of six goals in one game.He looked pissed off to coming off and didn't look injured. Bad call Audrey tut tut

Audrey Roberts <rofl>

Had a decent win bet on the Moore horse Knightly Pleasure in the Fontwell bumper at 10s ......................... come on my girl.

Whatever happens, it's a lovely name for a filly ;)

4 races interest me tomorrow.
Newmarket 16.40. Don't know what happened to Endless Time lto but before that beat Simple Verse. That will do for me. Leah Freya is an obvious threat but all her form has been at the switchback courses Epsom and Lingfield (her last 4 races have been at Epsom). Biggest danger though is the Stoute improver Moonlight Sonata

Newmarket 15.30. This looks like a penalty kick for the Fabre challenger Esoterique with only a rejuvenated Integral (Stoute again) likely to cause a problem.

Redcar 17.35. Celestial Path returns from a good 5th in the 2000Gns. 3rd in the Racing Post last year. Surely, if tuned up, should win. Plenty of opposition though with So beloved, Top Notch Tonto, Tupi, and maybe Zarawan, taking him on. The 2/1 on offer is far too skinny for me though with such a long lay off.

Ascot 15.45. So open this one that with the favourite (whichever one that turns out to be) likely tio be 5/1 or more, I'm going 5 against the field for Cyc's comp. - Buckstay, Mr Win, Make It Up, Gabriel's Lad, Outback Traveller

Pretty good for me. Endless Time wins at a very generous 6/1. Esotrique wins easily 11/8 with Integral 2nd. Celestial Path avoided and finishes stone last with the "plenty of opposition" filling the first 3 places. Buckstay wins in a photo with 14/1 Gabriel's Lad (2nd), Mr Win 4th, Make It Up 5th. T'other one out back. Happy with that
