For the first time i don't any of that or excitement for this coming weekends match, after watching the fulham match i feel totally shot, never been like this & that game was inexplicably poor & still can't get over the shabby performance we turned out.
supporting them for over 50years i can't explain my feelings for the bolton match, i will be there as s/t holder &
will support them & have never booed at a match & won't, i just hope we can compete & put in a half decent
performance this week rather that abysmal showing last week..

I think most of us are there mate. See my post in the thread about Richard Langley's tweets. A few words of reassurance would be powerfully encouraging during these challenging times.
 
It's been going on for the past 4 seasons including the promotion one, too many different players not caring, incompetent managers spending poorly and never seeming to move forward at any time. I laugh at myself 5 years ago wondering how it would be supporting a " big and successful" club, new ground, money, top international players. Totally dejected with my team. I remember having to look up as to where Rushton was, I enjoyed that away day more more than any away day in the last 4 years.
Still there is always the word association thread

Hoping for a complete transformation from last week, taking my 10 year old for her Birthday, doubt she will ever want to go again if we put in more of the same

I am a little excited now. Great footballing weather, the roar of the crowd, hopefully a good team performance (win or lose) and meeting up with mates and relaxing. International break approaching and hoping that we can go into it on a much higher note than last week.

I agree Jeff. Fulham game was a real low . Only going tomorrow out of duty.

Lowest league game for some time, I am expecting.

I also feel lethargic and washed-out after the Fulham match (and that was after only watching them on TV!)

However, as for this Saturday's match against Bolton, I have a feeling of "uncertainty". We could just as easily get hammered, as we could hammer them. Alternatively, it could be 0-0 draw. I fear that the atmosphere in the stadium could be very volatile, and could be either euphoric if things go well, or alternatively poisonous if this go not to plan or even go badly. I hope that both the players and the crowd will be able to control their emotions and frustrations.

But it would be great to go into the international break with at least a decent result (perhaps a draw). Another loss or poor performance would be very painful to stomach and ponder over a two week period.
 
Friday evening, glass of vino in hand......did last Friday night really happen? Onwards and upwards......

Been on a downward spiral since that three-game winning streak. The football has been abysmal and the injuries to Austin and Mackie will leave us looking toothless upfront and the defence has been poor all season. No cause for optimism as Ramsey seems unable to react to on-field setbacks in a game-changing way.

Bolton are a better side than their position in the League and I fear we could have another sorry afternoon...
 
Boy Stan you missed a hell of an afternoon...please come and sit between us...then Roller won't get his arm punched when Bolton scored with 5 to go...
