Clonmel 5.20 Ten times better 3/1
Beat by one of Willies battalion the last day, this improving mare can get her head in front in a weak looking bumper. Trained by the shrewd Mr Fahy the better ground can only help this daughter of Beneficial.

Donagh Meyler look's a claimer worth keeping on side so far this season in Ireland, he's getting a fair few rides and he appears fairly acomplished and is one worth noting taking the full 7 off. He's had 16 runs, 3 wins and 5 places so far. He's attracting a good mix of trainer too which is a good sign.

It could be another day of winners for Charlie L, looks to have a very solid hand across the two cards. Not a betting day for me, but plenty of intrigue in the races to whet the appetite.

Lasagne, roast potatoes and leeks. 7/10.

Only just noticed this but the interesting one running today must be Open Hearted (4.00 Bangor). The ex-Her Majesty owned gelding has his first run, since leaving Mr Henderson’s barn, this afternoon. Won 6 races in total for the forum’s favourite trainer and debuts here for old boy Dan Skelton off a fair looking perch of 138. Was quite surprised to see that Open Hearted sold for just £16,000, back in May, a fact that must have disappointed Her Majesty greatly as I bet she was expecting more, poor love. Today’s race though looks very winnable for Open Hearted but this is reflected in his current price of just 7/4. Bit short that and I’m not recommending a bet to the regular readers but what I am saying is that he’s deffo one to look out for this afternoon. You can’t, of course, improve on perfection but Dan Skelton looks to have found a decent opportunity for Open Hearted here.

Good luck, all.

2.10 Warwick Inchiquin All Star was bought for £50k after winning its point by 25L. It was only a 4 runner affair, but the 2nd won next time out too.

I'll keep an eye on that one.

Ruby just about got up there after a dodgy jump at the last-glad I took the morning price 9/4,load of late money so went off 10/11.
I like the look of High in the Clouds in 3.05 so will have a wee wager at 9/4

Fingers crossed you're correct Beefy as I've put this one in a double with VALADOM 4pm at Bangor.

It won't be burdened by me now Beefy so you can breathe easy - turns out VALADOM didn't want to know today <laugh>

Having just seen the market I suspect mine won't burden the judge either, Fahy got the money in the first, I suspect this lads the travel buddy just out for a pipeopener!

Got a bit nervous when I saw the market drift as per my comments to DreverSpur but turns out another decent day!

Have taken the 5/1 on PAOK to beat Dortmund tonight as hoping Dortmund will have one eye on the Bayern game this weekend

Good stuff beefy. Katie stole about 2/3 lengths at the off and that was the winning margin too <ok> Mick's well backed fave never went a yard.

Cheers boys, not the exotic prices some like to chase but I'm happy taking 9/4 or 5/2 on even money shots all day long and there's been a few around this last few weeks!

Hopefully it will continue as the better quality of beast starts to get unleashed over the coming weeks and months <party>
