Being only 23 years old, i never watched Liverpool in the 90s. When you watch programs like Premier League Years we're never really mentioned and tbh don't seem like we do very well.
Was there a understanding that the team was in transition or is it similar to what it's like now where we don't understand why we aren't competing?
He certainly was mate, if I had a time machine .............Man of the people.![]()
80's was ****.

One of my faves, even as a United fan. Brilliant player. You must log in or register to see images
Heralding in the 90's - The most expensive player at the time - not Barnes ............. Beardsley.
It was like the noughties
reocurring "we're almost there" seasons followed by abject failure![]()

What was the 30's like?
Too true - for entertainment that was team watching in some ways more entertaining than the 70's teams which were very effective but could be a bit clinical (though i still think Terry Macs goal in Rome was a moment of beauty - and yes i am that bloody old ) problem with Roy's team was the defensive frailities which were so bad that the goalies didnt trust the defenders and vice versa even though we kept swopping them.Is it just me or is that starting to feel very up to date.Excluding the 2013-14 season, Roy Evans' reign (1994-98) brought the most entertaining football during my time supporting Liverpool (although alive, I can't recall the last eighties etc). Great attacking football with the likes of McManaman, Fowler, Collymore, Jones, McAteer, Redkanpp, Barnes (in his twilight years), Rush (same), etc.
Rafa's team came close but his tactics were always defend first.

PS is McManaman one of the most underated of our ex players due to the bad taste left by the manner of his leaving

90's was great for rnb and hip hop.
Don't remember Much about Liverpool bar Fowler and Torres.
Not for me it wasn't. Grunge, Punk Rock and whatever you'd class the Chili Peppers as. But then I was a late 90s teen.RnB was 00s, 90s was dance
, I think my brother still has that green and white quarters shirt somewhere. And I think that game just about sums up Liverpool's 90s, always close but never quite thereThat RnB period was ****ing awful.RnB was 00s, 90s was dance
