I thought the effort put into the thread matched the effort our players are putting into performances this year

I doubt it makes a difference. Surely FSG are only holding out until they have a replacement, they're not that dense they think Rodgers can turn it round for the season.
Even if we win 5-0 Rodgers still has to go.
Don't worry. I'm not saying we will win 5-0. I suspect we're more likely to lose by that scoreline.
We would need 250 shots on goal to get 5 goals by current trends.
