I'd rather compare it to the Saints of old, when we beat Everton on the final day to stay up. :)

Well done Hants, That was a terrific effort to stay up after such a poor start to the season. The top order cannot be as bad as they were this season and we look to have a strong bowling line up now... Can't wait for next season!

Talk about the Great Escape ! Well done Hampshire in the end to avoid the drop by the skin of their teeth. Also many thanks to Yorkshire CC - Bresnan, Brooks and Rashid in particular for playing like champions on the final day of the season to bowl our Sussex.
Our batting in particular is going to have be consistently much better next season.
Phew !
