Yawn. Irony coming from Liverpool board, your Stalinist revision of history where fans are not allowed to talk or have an opinion about certain events (until you demand support for public enquiries or fixture changes)
Nasty man getting political on me, I'm just asking questions about the treatment of a loyal Chelsea fan.
No, but that doesn't mean I'd write off CP's point of view as completely ridiculous, particularly given Mourinho's style lends itself to a very successful tenure in the short term but not necessarily the long term. To give him credit though, he doesn't seem to be polarising opinion in the squad from what I can see and I doubt there's more than a couple of the first team squad who would want him gone which wasn't the case at the same point at Inter or Real.
So you go along with the idea that he's only any good as a short term manager and that the wheeeeels will come off the longer that he's at a club?
I'd say that's an exaggeration but, broadly, yes. However, as mentioned, with experience he seems to be maturing in that respect. The players are far more behind him than at the same point in previous roles (if they got this far).
I have a laugh with certain posters on other boards and some are knobs. No different to any forum or wider group of supporters. I'd probably have a laugh with you if you weren't so defensive.
Has Roman also got better with age? Does he have the patience to ride out this rough patch or is the level of success set higher with Jose in charge? We have to look at that first season back as a transition period and then last season a great success but to drop to this level so quickly and with so much disharmony within the club is his finger on the trigger?
Probably. Most people do mature over time. He's less involved nowadays too which probably helps. Less micro-managing.
I know it is not nice to be a Newcastle player when things are going the way they are at the moment at St James' Park. I genuinely feared for them before their last two home defeats by Watford and Sheffield Wednesday, because I thought those would be the games where the fans turn against the team if they lose, which is exactly what has happened. The Magpies' previous results this season were acceptable for different reasons but no positives can be taken from being beaten at home by a newly promoted team, or being knocked out of the League Cup by a Championship club's reserve side. Now the pressure is really on, Newcastle boss Steve McClaren is going to need some seriously strong characters in his squad to deal with it. McClaren's problem is that I look at his summer signings and think character is exactly what they are lacking, along with Premier League experience and knowing how to deal with this situation. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34340357
Brendan Rodgers: Liverpool boss 'not scared of the sack' Brendan Rodgers says he is not frightened by the prospect of losing his job as Liverpool manager - adding that the pressure drives him on. Rodgers is under intense scrutiny after four league games without a win. He says he is better at his job now than when he took over in June 2012. Asked if his job was in danger, Rodgers said: "I'm never complacent enough to think that it has never been. It's probably what drives a manager on, that fear. Positive fear." That's right "positive fear".
When Roman first came in we were spending a lot of money and blowing other teams out the water money wise; so he had a right to demand success to an extent. Now the Manchester clubs are clearly the big spenders, Arsenal have spent more recently and don't sell their best players every year, Spurs and Liverpool have spent a lot too. I would hope Roman therefore appreciates he can't demand success as he did before. Therefore I think there will be a bit more patience. We wont win the league this year but the last 3 games have shown all is not lost. Confidence is coming back, youngsters are getting a chance, we're scoring more and from many different players. That said, I wouldn't;t bet against Newcastle upsetting us this weekend; they normally do!
