Its not great either. Neither was ours looking back bit at the time its easy to be blinded by it all.

You lack a leader as you say, and a spine. Can you name 4 players who right now epitomise Liverpool FC.

Van Gaal, funnily enough (and no doubt I will receive millions of hilarious reminders) would be the perfect man to come in and tear your team up. That's the reason we got him, its what he's been doing.

He would split your fanbase though, managers like him do that. I can't think of anyone else who fits the bill though.

Spine I agree with to some extent. I don't quite get what you mean by that, but Sakho, Henderson, Coutinho, Sturridge, though you'll disagree with them for me they are all more than good enough for LFC.

I don't think our team needs tearing up, it needs fine tuning and adding to. Rodgers has cleared a lot of dead wood (mainly the dead wood he added), we have a talented set of players both in our first XI, and our squad, we need a manager who can now implement their philosophy and style on the team. That's been the main problem with Rodgers, there's been zero direction, it's chopped, changed and the football manager equivalent of hit and hope.

Nah. I think he survived the chop in the summer solely off the back of the previous seasons 2nd place. They insisted on change though hence his back room going under the bus.

I think they obviously had reservations but gave him the benefit. He needed to start this season well, and he's bombed. He's a dead man walking, the only doubt now is about when the trigger is going to pulled, whether it's tomorrow, next week or during the international break

Wouldn't surprise me of it was late December. Gives them a full month for the new man to get his own players on and save their season.

Of course I am assuming they have someone lined up by then.

Of course Liverpool may just take the hit and wait til next summer. This would be a huge risk because I don't day this to wind them up, but they genuinely don't look like a team interested in even trying to turn things around.

They remind me of Newcastle the year they got relegated. There team was far to gkld for it but not one player cared and the manager was a clueless moron with a huge opinion of himself. I doubt it will ever happen but right now, they don't look like a football team.

A few have gone. Went into the boxing forum to say my piece about Tyson fury and noticed a classic United fan, Alan.

Whatever happened to him. He was like our DR.

Plus where is Mito at? "Holiday" or "internet problems" <whistle>

Wasn't it Alan that ****ed off as soon as he became a mod?

A spine as in a group of players you would play every game and build the team around. The players who are leaders on the pitch, they don't have to be captain but they can lead their individual areas. Usually a gk, CB, cm and striker.

We have ddg
Smalling
BFS/Carrick (honourable mention)
Rooney

Other fans may well have their own views buts that's the spine of our team right now. Rooney is the weak link though which most of us United fans will agree with..he's captain though and van Gaal puts a lot of faith in him so you can't pretend he's not a part of our spine.

Liverpool arent that far off. In all honesty it's just a series of fck ups off the pitch moreso than on it. We rival fans will laugh, but on many occasions it's more bcos it's self-inflicted rather than a lack of resources or ability.

Seriously, look at Arsenal, there's absolutely no reason why Liverpool shouldnt be achieving top 4. Often (like now) the squad isnt bad, but if it's not the wrong owners, it's the wrong manager which has been your undoing.

Stick a couple of strong powerful experienced leaders in in the side and things will be very different. CB and CM.

No idea. He was here one minute, very active and quite a good poster. Next minute he's gone. Not banned and certainly no leaving thread.

I'm worried tbh. Maybe we should have got the milk cartons out and plastered his face (not sure what it looked like but his avatar would have done) all over then.

Have you seen this man

Reckon we would find him in no time.

I wouldn't mind someone like Vincenzo Montella either. Did wonders with Fiorentina, kept out of the CL because of lack of resources, and also a final day Milan win, where they were granted an offside goal and a number of dubious referee decisions.

Played possibly the best football in Europe after Barcelona. Currently out of a job but he's one to watch for the future. Only 41 - he was playing against us in 2007. Still has shown a great deal of consistency and drive as a young manager.

The rest of the league, bar the north east clubs and villa are all decent squads so Liverpool are further away than you think IMO.

I also think once a players decided they don't care anymore, even a change of manager makes it hard to turn around.

Liverpool's players genuinely don't care.

Who though. You are right and its why we bought BFS but who fits the bill for you. These leaders are either made at your club or bought very young. BFS' don't come around to often.

C'mon mate, surely you can see we have a better squad than anyone below the top six? Surely? You're on the WUM <laugh>

It all depends why "they don't care". If it's loss of faith in management then it changes when he changes.

I mean look at your lot..went from champions to looking like strangers sitting in a McDonald's under Moyes to some of the players you all wanted gone being your better players under VG.
