Great draw for us. Missed the Premier League sides (of which there are plenty left). Should have more than enough for these without having to roll out the first team.
Won't be much of an achievement you can bet you will be playing our reserves ! Ps who the hell do you have in reserves that would be more than enough ?
See the squad we put out last night. 32 Schwarzer 17 Simpson 29 Benalouane 27 Wasilewski 28 Fuchs Booked 11 Albrighton (Schlupp - 68' ) 33 Inler 10 King 36 Dodoo (Kanté - 82' ) 23 Ulloa 19 Kramaric (Mahrez - 82' )
If you want me to be totally honest there's only two players on that team sheet that would concern me
Fettis buddy .. West Ham turned up with only 3 changes from the side that had won at Man City - and got battered. .. you are being a little disingenuous
I'm really not , that team just doesn't put the frightners on me , it's not to say you won't win if I'm honest I expect you to as we will almost defiantly put our second team out .
I see your still deluded and think Leicester will conquer all , never mind you get to beat the computer with Leicester on Fifa soon so all your dreams will come true
I was just starting to enjoy the peace and quiet on this forum and then of all the teams we had to play, FFS.
Enjoy it lads, what have we got to lose? Regardless of this League Cup result, where neither side will put out a first-team side, we are 4th in the Premier League... Whereas they are 4th in the Chumpionship They'll never admit we're any good, and still seem to have this weird feeling towards us. I popped on their board, most were saying they wanted to play a "beatable team like Leicester"... Yes, we are so easily beatable... That in 6 Premier League and 2 League Cup games, nobody has managed it yet Of course, we were incredibly lucky to have stayed up last season, after going on that run... And incredibly lucky to be 4th in the Premier League, having not lost yet this season... And incredibly lucky to have found Mahrez... Never a good side though, just lucky... Our luck will run out soon, and we'll be back where we belong, in the Championship with Hull
tbf Fettis the vast majority of us would realistically settle for comfortable mid-table without geting involved in the relegation scrap at any stage ... ...but it is fun right now because we are really having a go and teams are finding it very difficult to live with our pace ... West Ham had more possession than us on Tuesday according to the stats ... yet we had double (22) attempts on goal ... that has been the story of our season so far ... Acid test this weekend - we are all nervous (or we should be) about the prospects of our rather immobile centre backs coming up against Arsenal's pace and trickery .. but we will also cause their defence a few headaches ... exciting times.
None of us think we are world beaters - came into the season fully expecting another relegation battle but currently have altitude sickness due to out league position . Every interview that Raneiri has been asked about season goals - "are you thinking bout European football" etc. - he has said that our target is 40 points and we all agree with that.
And that is exactly why I say you takl ****e. You just talk out of your northern arse. I've not seen any posts suggesting we are "world beaters" or going to win the league. I have said many times I would be thrilled with a mid table finish this season as that would mean we have improved again. We have the luxury of some great quality in our squad now, proven by our win against a near full strength west ham side in the cup after Ranieri made 10 changes from last weekend. Are we enjoying the ride right now after outer flying start, you bet ya we are, damn right. We have to make the most of times like this just like you would be ( though granted that unlikely to happen as a Hull fan lol) Enjoy your cup final against us and I'm sure you will be having an open top bus parade and releasing a dvd if you beat is. For us we can concentrate on our weekly cup finals in the Premier League. SWEET.
We don't know how good our team is yet because we haven't played against the 'top' teams. Nobody on here has seriously considered us maintaining our current position; we've all been talking about being very happy with mid-table or just not being involved in a relegation battle, but for all we know we could have a top 6 or top 8 squad. Only time will tell.
