Spanish I went to the game and completely disagree on Coke - he was very solid in CM and was sold short by Bru running around like a god damn headless chicken. Bru can be good with the ball but his positional sense leaves a hell of a lot to be desired.

First half all of us around were saying " everyones for the most part done well first half barr Parr " who was bloody awful first 45 but second half he had a good performance.

Tabb did well - not his fault he's on the left wing. Won numerous interceptions and had no one around.

Oar will certainly add something vs Championship sides. His delivery was excellent, long term I can see him / Fraser being the wide boys with Niles the impact sub. We'll see. I was a tad disappointed Toure didn't start.

Murphy doesn't look fit.........

AGREE with you Spanish re keeper playing. Yowerth was class, WAAAYYYYY better than Smith and he needs to be played. Polish lad also did well but I say Yowerth deserves to be in the side. If he's not going to be he needs a month out on loan. I also thought Emmanuel did well, and perhaps deserves to start at RB. Chambers has been VERY poor at RB this season from what I've seen - play him at CB or not at all time.

Quite obvious what the side will be for sat bar the keepers, we all know what the defence/midfield/striker lineup is likely to be -

Chambers/Smith/Berra/Knudsen
Niles/ Skuse/ Douglas/ Fraser
Sears/ Pitman

Considering the lineup we did very well. Infact, first 12 or so second half our pressing/ energy was good and we were indeed the better side until they banged in the free kick. Very proud of that performance - fair play to MIck trusting many of the players that got us to this stage of the cup they deserved their chance.

Did you see me wander in 10 minutes late? Took wrong turn off m56 and finally found nd a car park at 5 to 8.

I think our second string back 4 look more composed than our first choice. Pete or Yorwerth should definitely start over Smith.

Think the free kick killed the game as a contest. Lost any belief we had. Martial was always going to score.

Didn't think we discrased ourselves, but shame Murphy is so off the pace. Could really do with him fit and firing for the season.

Well, it wasn't to be. At least Guru didn't use the thread to take a cheap swipe at Norwich! (oh, wait <doh>)

I can't stand van Gaal, and as a welly endorsed plastic paddy, and despite our differences, I'd have loved a repeat victory for old Mick. <ok>

Good to see ILD posting again on your board mate, shame that he's been away so long, always rated him, a good Budgie poster who would say what he believed and **** the consequences...top lad.

I didn't see you arrive late no, sounds like a nightmare! We were very lucky where we parked, literally straight out and back onto the motorway.

Agree re Murphy he looks way off it and the CBs both deserve game time.
