After a solid away performance at Hull, I do not expect too many changes to the starting eleven for the away match in Fulham. I hope that we again play Faurlin as he certain galvinised the team and gave it much better shape, but I admit I constantly fear for his fitness. Although Fer and Sandro both played in the EDS team 3-1 win over Crewe, I only expect to see them on the bench. However, Chris Ramsey may be tempted to play Sandro from the start in place of Henry. That may be an interesting call. I would expect the same starting lineup of: --------------------------- Green ------------------------------ -- Perch ------Onuoha -----Angella ----- Konchesky-- ------------- Faurlin -----------------Henry ------------------ -----Phillips ----------- Luongo ---------------Chery ----- --------------------------- Austin ------------------------------ Let's hope that whatever the starting eleven - we get a postive result and three points!
I believe again that Henry is one of the first on the team sheet Plenty of knockers on here but I have caught up on most of the full 90 replays and I can't see where the slagging has any merit re Henry IMO he is clearly doing that job well so to drop him is crazy I have seen Faurlin looking shaky yet posters love him I suggest both Faurlin and Henry look like they can grow I repeat Henry's job is to break up play but he can't be everywhere Forest Blackburn and Hull are light years in front of us with pass and move ... The only time we can build any sort of ground retention football is usually from a break up in play from Henry or Faurlin We are knocking long at times and breaking a lot quicker on the counter Modern tactics Henry still has the ability to control a midfield IMO
HENRY 1. ping ping ping then to HENRY Henry 4 touches it all slows down 2. break break break break then to HENRY Henry 3 touches - the last 1 is sideways, backwards or 4 ft behind the quickly advancing player who then has to check his run 3. our corner - fight fight fight - out it comes to our midfield (HENRY) henry lobs it back in the box ,high & very gently - the keeper advances & grabs it or the defenders get there with ease
4. Goal keeper rolls out to defender so that we can build it forward: 4 a) they look for a pass and Henry hides and offers no option- so they lob it forward to Luongo or Chery to get beaten on the air and ball to come straight back 4b) Goal keeper/Defender passes to Henry, he takes too many touches and then eventually either passes back to a defender/ gets tackled or lumps it forward to Luongo or Chery to get beaten on the air and ball to come straight back
4 a1)Henry hides as the crowd shout "for ffs sake Henry hide or it 'll bounce off you just in front of our defence"
Maybe a start or a place on the bench? Dutch midfielder Leroy Fer hoping to make QPR comeback on Friday night at Fulham … Leroy Fer is hoping to make his first-team comeback on Friday night at Fulham The Dutch international hasn't featured this season owing to a knee problem Fer came through 60 minutes of action for the Under 21s on Tuesday LEROY Fer has had to be a patient man, but after four months of waiting there finally seems to be light at the end of the tunnel for the Dutch international. Fer has not made a first-team appearance since the final day of last season when the R’s lost at Leicester City in May. A knee problem has not only prevented him from featuring in the opening six weeks of the current campaign, it also blocked a move to Premier League side Sunderland. Now the 25 year-old is fully committed to helping QPR mount a promotion push – starting on Friday night at local rivals Fulham. Having come through 60 minutes of Under 21 action in a 3-1 win over Crewe on Tuesday afternoon, Fer is now desperate to be involved in Chris Ramsey’s plans at Craven Cottage. “I have found it really difficult because I am a player that always wants to play football,” Fer told www.qpr.co.uk. Corner headed away to Henry, he passes it back 30 yards to a defender under pressure from the one attacker, who has to pass back to the keeper!
You boys have little idea of football it all sounds very average football fan to me Pick a new name off the Internet and chuck into your team Henry is passed his best but we don't have anyone better and both Faurlin and Sandro are currently more risk Have to ask yourselves why does he get getting picked ? Covered for Barton last year The best players in the game look like they are hiding Henry will play loads of games this season as he is the spine of QPR Of course there are many better players in that position in the top two divisions but they aren't at QPR Over a season with this QPR team he will prove still to be our best player ... Austin aside if he stays
I would continue to put Henry alongside Faurlin, unless Sandro can prove his fitness and then I'd play him with Faurlin.
Says the knowledgeable 'sage' who predicted we would be 'Top 8' in the Premier League a couple of seasons back...
I think I'd be tempted to start Fer and give 65-70 mins: ............................................Green....................................... Perch.................Onuoha..........Angella..............Konchesky ..............................Henry................Faurlin........................... Phillips...................................Fer..............................Luongo ...........................................Austin.........................................
Yes, on a regular basis!! Think you've made your mind up about Henry already and because of that arent willing or able to see his lack of contribution. The stats also back up the position of those who see him not doing enough. Saw a post on Wearetherangersboys today; when playing the holding role Henry has made 1.8 tackles a game but Faurlin has made 3 a game, Luongo 5 a game and Doughty against Huddersfield made 8!! Faurlin makes 47 forward passes a game, Luongo 36 and Henry just 25.(when playing the holding midfield role I said before the season started Henry would be no good for us with this formation and in this league especially at home where onus is on us to dominate and pass it through teams. Now more and more are realising as well that Henry doesn't affect the game enough defensively or offensively and while its all subjective the stats do suggest that this is a fair assessment I would start Sandro then after an hour bring on Fer and move Luongo in alongside Faurlin ............................................Green....................................... Perch.................Onuoha..........Angella..............Konchesky ..............................Sandro................Faurlin........................... Phillips...................................Luongo..............................Chery ...........................................Austin.........................................
