This does seem a little bit like trial by media. Amazed Gabriel had his red overturned as well given how close the ref was to the incident in the first place. Aren't Americans more likely to say hammered? I don't think they use the term pissed to describe being drunk. I do like the Yank sitcoms though. Seinfeld is probably my favourite although I also still think Cheers is funny. Don't recall any of the bar gang being described as pissed after they'd had one too many beers.
