We let the scouse back into the CL for one season and look what happens... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34324794
Tbh Sky if he hadnt scored in his first 3 games, rivals would be classing him a flop. Conversely bcos he's scored you get the same logic and he must be a hit. But the reality is, it's far too early to tell. He's had a great start but until he does it over a prolonged period you cant call it one way or the other. And as you said, experience says it can go either way. I'm happy so far and I think he's building a reputation quickly which will play on opposition minds. And he's still am unknown for most defences. He has the opportunity to capitalise on all this. Bit like Kane last season. In that sense he can ride the crest of a wave for the foreseeable future.
He's had a cracking start and certainly showed why we have bought him. Yes, its very early days and we really need to remain grounded on him (don't want to expect 30 goals and a bpitw nomination) but the signs are great. Even without the goals he's shown some real quality in his game time. Something we as a club have missed for years.
Sorry my mistake. He's had a cracking start, not a great start. I'm glad we're remaining grounded. Anyway superlatives aside, lets just wait and see over a prolonged period before judging eh. 2 years?
Hey I was just trying to figure out why "great start" wasnt good enough. And the difference between that and a "cracking start". You said, something we missed as a club for years. I replied with, 2 years.
Not happy with sucking the heart and soul out of Chelsea, Mourinho has also now robbed it of its best pair of tits: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/34328940 What a ****. #LVGsignherup
I think Jose was wrong with all this, a thoroughly regrettable incident. However, quite a sexist comment there Swarbs. Thought you were a bit bigger than that.
It has been a cracking start though. Beyond anyone's expectation's. I don't expect him to score 3 goals every 2 games for ever but there's no denying he's had one hell of a start to life at United. Great, cracking, superb, brilliant... All the same mate. And 2 years is years, especially in football.
What can I say, I'm a tits man. Nothing is bigger than a good pair of tits. Seriously, if you can't see how tongue in cheek that comment was I think you need to seriously reconsider your relationship with the internet
Keith Curle may be ex City, but this is quality: http://www.newsandstar.co.uk/carlisle-united/latest/curle-shows-blues-liverpool-at-worst-1.1227859 "The players will be relaxed before the game. We’ll show them clips of Liverpool when they do things wrong." That'll be the longest tactics session ever then
