OK, so Anthony Martial was expensive but what an investment for the future and he is already winning games for Man U.
Let's see how he does long term, it's just 3 games. United fans already hailing him as the next Henry. You don't judge such a huge investment on 3 games alone. Remember Di Maria had a fantastic start for United as well, and look where he is now.
Fair comment. What is it about him that doesn't impress you so far? His pace, power, awareness, finishing?
Btw, just a history lesson, United had another young striker who scored on his 2 opening league games, Federico Macheda, he was declared the next best thing at United when he debuted, doubt anyone knows where he's even playing now. It's become quite the consistent pattern among United fans over the last 5 years to keep declaring so and so player to be THE ONE, you've had Di Maria, Falcao, Januzai, Macheda, and **** knows who else. Remember when they even declared Anderson to be a better player than Fabregas? Lol.
I didn't say i am not impressed, just think it's silly to be declaring him to be the next Henry already, and that he was a great investment. Spurs' new Korean striker just scored in his last 2 games, that impresses me too, but doesn't mean I think he's going to be a world beater. Martil is impressive, but still doesn't mean he was worth that **** load of money spent for him.
Can you direct me to the post/thread that's labelled him as the new Henry? I've read that in the press but not sure the journalists are United fans. I don't know a single United fan who has made that statement. It would be an odd thing for a United fan to say given Henry played for Arsenal. Most United fans don't seem to have heard of him prior to his signing, me included. The boy's made a good start though. Clearly you've come across countless United fans who've said Martial is the new Henry. Who are they?
All 3 Goals he scored so far have had a bit of luck involved although were good finishes, not getting carried away just yet.
he is same price as Sanchez and actually cheaper than Ozil .. yes his price tag can reach £58M but only if he was the new Henry anyway he has all the ability and skills to be only better , he is fast, strong, skilled with the ball, intelligent, composed, good finisher, so he tick all the boxes ability wise and can possibly even be better than Henry himself, yes it is too early, but to say his price tag is unjustifiable, show me one young ST with big potential who cost less, Chelsea had a chance to sign Neymar for 30m but thought that is alot of money for such young kid, AW himself thought CR not worth 12m at that time.. when you see world class potentials you take a risk, simple as that.. you are refusing to pay such sum for young players with big potential and opting for cheaper one, well they are cheaper for a reason dear. UTD are building for the future, and I rather have someone like Martial over paying same money for players who are in their peak yes he is not yet worldclass player, but has all abilities to be.. just remember how you guys laughed on poor Gea at his start, saying how Szczęsny is the better GK and how we paid alot of money for a GK who is worst than Szczęsny, who is laughing now? your manager is cheap, sometimes quality cost, and it cost for a reason . you have 2 options, either you take a gamble or buy in cheap on less potential ones.. for me, if the money is there, I rather take a gamble.

Would it be petty of me to gloat? He sold his soul for riches and is now realising the devil won. He could've ended his career in London a legend and possibly a PL winner with us. Now he's relocated far from where his children were settled and is unhappy. Serves him right.
Martial is going to be a quality signing. I like the look of Depay too but think I would still have him back. He's still better than Giroud.
