    Just watched MOTD.
How long before this thuggish and brutish player is found out by referees and dealt with accordingly?
    Ill tempered and unpleasant cheat.
He started all the trouble yesterday and since Gabriel was sent off, Costa should have been sent off twice!
Well suited to Chelscum. Horrible player.
I will cheer loudly when he is eventually red carded. Surely it's only a question of time?

I was going to start a similar thread on our board and thought there might be on here. Completely can't stand him or Chelsea, there's not any other situations where I'm genuinely rooting for someone to put him out for the season! What was wise was the Chelsea fans singing his name. They ****ing love it and it all starts from the twat Mourinho. Would love for them to fail and finish out the top 4 but it's unlikely

Nobody likes a cheat / dirty player.
Time has a way of catching up with them. Hopefully, sooner rather than later.
    Karma, people.

"Ill tempered and unpleasant cheat" sums him up nicely. Not only is he a disgrace to Chelsea, he is a disgrace to football. The more that Mourinho and Chelsea fans back this thug, the further he will take them into the footballing gutter.

If he was thuggish and brutish I'd be ok with it. Have no problem with a centre-forward dishing it out if they're willing to take it. It used to be an important part of a striker's game when centre-halves were allowed to kick you to pieces.

What Costa does is very different. It's extremely snide and some of the Chelsea fans condoning it as well as the manager doesn't help. It's worth noting some of their supporters on here and elsewhere are turning on him for these constant antics.

Another good word for him. Fair play to those Chelsea fans who disapprove.

I was going to post something yesterday lunchtime when I saw the incident but decided against it.
Costa is without doubt an absolute low-life, he knew exactly what he was doing and should have got a straight red. Gabriel in his naivety fell for Costa's antics and effectively cost his team the game.

Posted on this on the rugby World Cup thread, because the contrast in behaviour is so stark. Costa is vile but sadly is an extreme but apt example of what professional association football has become. The fact that they had to have a debate about him on MOTD rather than simply calling him scum sums it up.

Lineker, Shearer and Murphy chose not to give Costa the berating he deserved. They more or less sat on the fence. When you consider what some of our players have been given their marching orders for in recent years, they pale in comparison to Costa's behaviour. Derry at Man U, Zamora v Wigan, Barton v Hull & Leicester were nothing when compared to Costa's disgusting antics.

Motd also chose to ignore another episode that occurred in the bottom left hand corner. That incident deserved a red on its own.

Just watched the highlights...disgusting way to play football. If you are good enough, let your football do the talking. All Costa will be known for from yesterday is cheating, being a wimp and trying to get other players sent off. It's sickening to anyone who enjoys watching good football, and it will continue until refs are courageous enough to book Costa for the cheat he is.

Watched it live and thought it was disgusting behaviour. Just watched MOTD and I hadn't seen his scratch on Gabriel's neck. I'm surprised the amount of critiscm Gabriel has taken, especially from the likes of shearer, of course he shouldn't have reacted but under the circumstances it's hard not to sympathise. That thug was mouthing off to him all the way back to the halfway line, even after their joint booking. I could tolerate Costa if he just played an aggressive game but he is an out and out thug and a cheat and frankly Mourinho is just as vile for supporting him so vociferously.

It's all in a 'normal' game for this piece of low-life scum, he's plenty of previous as this vine illustrates. It's only a matter of time before he's red-carded and we'll all celebrate...

Thuggish, brutish, scum, snide. Just a few of the words that fail to sum up exactly how low Costa is. The fact that he plays for Chelsea is ironic in the extreme.

Believe me, he WILL get his one day. The sooner that someone does a number on him, the better.

Never has a player been better suited to a team. Needs a 2 footer to the chin.

If you saw Costa on the street you'd probably offer him 20p towards a cup of coffee and a night in the YMCA. Constantly looks grimy

Imagine if he had done that to Barton? Joey would have done more than gently tap his shin pads.
