Strange how life throws little quirks and coincidences together isn't it?

When the wife-to-be and I set our date for this Saturday, 19th of September who knew the hoops would then be scheduled to meet dastardly Hull on the same day!?

I may have mentioned in the past that due to my brothers Mrs coming from Hull, that numerous family members on her side support Hull and whenever we meet I pray that we will triumph so as not to have to endure numerous texts from illiterate Hull-ites lol.

( It was a beautiful moment at the end of last season though, after several texts from one particular member stating 'get back to the championship where you belong', when Hull were dragged down with us! ).

So although on current form I don't see us winning on Saturday.......please, please, please superhoops......dont mar my big day by losing........at least snaffle a well earned draw which will keep the northern blights quiet for me.

Uuuuuuu Rrrrrrrrr'sssss

Many congratulations and good luck on the big day and in the future together

And if we lose (which I suspect we might) just remind them that they may have won a footy match but you have taken the real prize on the day

And if there are any little ones, make sure they are going to be hoops

Hoop-Leif, know how you feel, living in Hull having to put up with them in the pub and work is a nightmare, most have come out of the woodwork since they have been in and out of the premier. At least I have converted the missus and my girls are superhoops.
5 of us proudly wearing the mighty hoops on Saturday.
Congratulations to you both and enjoy your day, hopefully with 3 points so you have the bragging rights.

Congratulations Hoop-Leif I hope you have a Hull of a day, sorry!
If we lose you can say that there are far more important things in life such as your lovely wife, if we win you can give them some serious grief.

Have a great day Leif.

Just looked up who we were playing on my wedding day - answer no one, must have been an international break. Then was appalled to see the attendances that season, 93-94, when we finished 9th in the Premier League. really pathetic. 1-1 v Arsenal in April 1994 - crowd 11,000 and something.

Interesting how poor the averages are for loads of clubs, only a few years post-Hillsborough of course.

Chelsea 19k, Sunderland 17k and even the really big clubs nothing like what they are now except Leeds who will always be the biggest and best.

Good luck and all the best for Saturday Hoop-Leif. Enjoy your day and make the most of it, it goes so quickly. Try and forget about the football, and whatever the result you'll feel that it doesn't really matter anyway. ( Unless we win of course, and your day will significantly get even better! )

Are you getting married up in Hull or down here?
