What's your problem with that? And disnae like NATO, cos they fight n that.
What's your problem with that?

What's your problem with that?
Withdrawing from NATO?
I'd ask what would be the benefit(s)? What would be the prime motivation for giving up membership?
I can't think of any reasonable answer to either of those questions. Disarming Trident is one thing, tearing up long-held military alliances is another entirely.
What would be the point in giving up Trident yet staying in a club which has members with Nuclear weapons? Please feel free to expand.

Who said it was a condition for joining.Only 3 members of NATO have nuclear weapons, us France and the Yanks. Nuclear weapon ownership is not a condition for joining, in fact one Member, Iceland, don't even have an army.![]()
Who said it was a condition for joining.
Aye cos having nuclear weapons is like having a dodgy business man in yer golf club ffs.I thought that was implied in your previous response.
Ok, I take it back and I'll answer another way.
Of the 28 NATO countries only 3 members have Nukes, some of the others are anti nuke but it didn't stop them from joining NATO because it would be a bit like refusing to join a Golf/Social club because there's someone in it who does something you are totally opposed to, utterly pointless, like cutting off your nose to spite your face.

I didn't call you a hypocrite. As I said, several Members of NATO are opposed to Nukes, some will not allow them to be deployed in their countries but they don't have a problem with other countries having them and neither do I. I don't give two ****s personally.
Corbyn is Anti NATO and Anti Nukes, I'm not and there's the difference. So how am I a "hypocrite"?
