No ones invincible, there were a few hits to the head in the Ashes and they played on. I was just having a laugh that your captain is Irish and is weak as piss.. That is all <ok> Surprised you draw yesterday, how you finding this season?
Difficult season but we seem to have finally adapted to division 1. I can see us beating Yorkshire.

Unchanged squad has been announced - ie the XI who played vs Somerset, plus Tommo and Stevenson.

The Yorkshire squad meanwhile is: Ballance, Bresnan, Brooks, Fisher, Gale (captain), Hodd (wicketkeeper), Leaning, Lees, Lyth, Middlebrook, Patterson, Rhodes, Sidebottom.

But fantastically for us, the squad comes with the words: “I think Ryan Sidebottom probably won’t play at Hampshire because back-to-back games may be too much for him. I don’t want to blow him out for the end of the season.

Matt Fisher will probably play."

Underway at the Bowl but its going to be a game of many rain delays looking at the forecast. Fingers crossed Hampshire can put in one of their very best performances a get a vital win.

Looking like Hants will take 4 batting points which I would have taken in a second before we started batting.

Great start to the Yorkshire innings as Lyth chases a Fidel wide delivery and edges to Dawson in the slips for a duck. :)

Very good performance by Hants today. Unfortunately it looks like our weather is going to snooker their chances of a vital win. Pity they couldnt have batted like that earlier in the season, but thats life Jim.

76 overs to take 6 wickets (for any number of runs), or 96+ overs to take 16 wickets (for a maximum of 317 runs). Assuming that, at the very least, we get a full

I think realistically tomorrow's rain means that we're looking at the former (at present Thursday is dry post about 8am) - you can't ask for too much more than a full bonus point draw in a heavily rain affected match. But of course we'll do our best to try and achieve the latter. 16 wickets in one day would be very difficult, but not impossible.

Real shame that Sussex managed to equal our five batting points, but we can't control what they do. But unless they push on and win from here (but no doubt the weather will continue to play a big part in that game too), then at best we're probably only going to cut the eleven point gap down to a ten point gap (of course if they roll Somerset over twice from here, then we could find ourselves just two or three points behind Somerset - but with Sussex potentially mathematically out of our reach).
