    Yeah weren't we all!!

I don't even think Messi would have hit the ground running with this lot though

  3. TBF, coutinho was exactly the same when he first joined, he took ages to settle and get going.

I'll join the ranks of "he hasn't inspired me yet".

So far he's another Markovich or Lallana, just another attacking mid/ wide player, that doesn't do anything special.

Early days but not yet seeing what the hype was about yet. Hopefully he will improve and become something special.

  5. IMO he's not really done anything yet but he's done small things that suggest he'll be a very good player given time.

I was similar with Kuyt, Lucas and Hendo when they arrived; none were playing great and they all came in fr some stick but I could see there was a player in there somewhere. Never got that feeling with others such as Markovic, Allen, Lallana, etc

I agree with this - he's not done all that well but he has shown glimpses. He should have an assist, he hit the post with a great shot and should have scored against United. Fine margins I know, but the ability is there. Needs to be playing centrally as the number 10.

I hope I am wrong but I fear that Firmino will be one of Rodgers's expensive mistakes. he really look lost. he has not hradly made any significant contribution. With Rodgers unsure of his best system, we shouldn't be surprised.

I never saw him play in Germany but he won me a **** lot of points in fantasy football. With good management he should do ok.
