A great day. Things to look forward to: Higher taxes for the rich Crack down on tax avoidance / evasion Maximum wage cap for top executives People Quantative Easing should the B of E print more money Outright opposition to TTIP End of public school charitable status Tuition fees scrapped Eradication of PFI deals Rent controls of Buy to Let parasites Renationalised railways and energy companies Coupled with Tom Watson becoming deputy ( ardent opponenet of the Murdoch empire there is not much to dislike. Withdrawing from Nato and cut to defence spending is not so good but will probably be revised longer term. All in all a good day all round!
Lot of hate and envy on that list. None of those things will happen unless he wins a general election. IMO it is guaranteed he won't win the next one and won't be around for the one after that.
You seem quite sure about that. Talking of bankruptcy, isn't that essentially what the current system (of no regulation on the financial industry and corporations as well as those industries dictating policy) is about?
Things to look forward to- 15 years of Tories! 5 current years, 5 years following the next election landslide and another 5 years for labour to rebuild an electable party. This is the worst thing to happen probably ever in British politics, we are essentially a one party country, there's more chance of North Koreas Mr Kim losing an election then Corbyn winning one!
Nothing wrong with Public School charitable status...but what gets me is some of these great and historic Public School's giving bursaries/scholarships (free or subsidised fees) to so called bright kids from state schools. It sort of defeats the object of the private school system. If you cannot afford to go down the prep school, public school route........tough. *tin hat now on*
Corbyn knows that he can spout whatever left-wing policy promises that he wants to without ever having to make good on them. It's his turn to play leader. Just look at the Labour MPs who are already backing away from him. Anyone in the party who supports Corbyn knows that when there is a change in leader after the next election they will be dropped like a stone.
Im well happy happy with that, Tories free do what they like with no credible opposition for at least 10 years
