I heard this, this morning. Is it election time already?

Perez is a complete **** and we all know this. This is a guy who's "experience" taught him to dismantle the core of a great Real Madrid side and fill it full of expensive "galacticos" prima donnas who wouldnt run 10 yards to collect the ball, and became a generation of virtual flops. He is cancerous as far as football is concerned.

I'm only sorry that he has far more in common with Woodward than he actually thinks... or that I would like.

If Perez is telling the truth then this statement says it all

"At 13.30 [on Monday] Manchester United had all the papers but they took eight hours to return them

That means Madrid had the papers back at 21.30 all signed and ready to file. What did they do with them for the next 30 minutes?

90 minutes and it's been widely reported that once the deal had been agreed it should take 10 minutes to register it. The Spanish like to eat late so the Real Madrid lawyers were probably face down in a paella.

Spot on. Also why football is played in the evenings mostly. All fits into the culture. When I've been over thee the matches are on at 8 in the evening and ppl start turning up in the restaurants to watch and eat. Waiters cant wait to talk football as well.
