I saw that, and if you look on our board, you'll find that most of us agree with the sentiment.

...but that's the thing with us Spurs fans, we are realistic. Most Gooners and Mousers are not. United fans are getting just as bad.

"I'm not sure how any Spurs fan can be happy with this situation right now? No one can sit there and bull*** me by saying spurs have got enough options upfront to compliment Kane because Spurs wouldn't be putting in these last minute bids for Berahino if we weren't in desperate need for a striker. Which then leads me to believe that Levy all along knew West brom wouldn't accept. He knew all along these last minute bids were a ploy to show the media and the spurs supporters that he "tried" ...it's like Moutinho, it's like Musachio, it's like Schneiderlin... no doubt in my mind Daniel Levy is pulling the wool over the spurs supporters eyes and has been for years.

Me and a few other supporters on here figured out this bald c*** years ago hence our negative stance on him in regards to our transfer policy. What Levy does in the background in regards to the stadium etc I applaud but that's where it stops!!! stay the f*** in the background Levy and do the internal stuff at spurs like you do but lay the f*** off the transfers you useless c****!!!

We have been down this route year after year with the same mistakes being made year after year. If you wanted Berahino which clearly we did then why wait for the last 2 weeks of the window to make your move? Surely as a number 1 target you go in early so if any complications arise you have enough time to get the deal sorted instead of frantically trying bids with 2 hours to go Son and Njie are 2 exciting signings but they are not "strikers". If Harry Kane get's injured who the hell do we replace him with? Adebayor?

What an utter shambles from top to bottom!!! The fact that the Spurs website changed Hueng min Son's profile online from midfielder to striker speaks volumes despite them denying it. They knew damn well spurs were not going to sign another striker and so did the fans who know how our w**** of a chairman operates. The pathetic "levyd" noise we get from a certain section of our supporters have nothing to say now. Your bald hero has been properly "leavyd" by a guy who wasn't going to take his s**** and I await to see what excuses you have when Harry Kane get's injured and we are left with no striker......not to mention another superb bit of news with Adebayor still lingering around the club like a bad smell to dare is to do???? f*** off!!!!!

To be fair, it reflects some of what many of us feel. This window has been an utter shambles.

Mind you, I doubt your lot are much happier?..

us fans wanting a striker upgrade or back up DM in this window wasn't us being unrealistic as we have the cash and there were players available if we had actually started the process in enough time to get it done - and Spurs are in same boat as you didn't get your targets either so very frustrating for both sets of fans.
In our case we have been asking for a decent DM since Vierra and Gilberto left, and a new striker since RVP went.
it wasn't being unrealistic it was more that's what every Arsenal fan and every ****ing pundit on the planet had been saying is what we need !!
Heres to January window when we again won't buy anyone and Spurs will buy the overpriced stroppy striking striker to replace Adebeawhore* their current stroppy atriking striker that they can't offload unless they give him £5m to **** off !
*he is just a mercenary ****

"Daws, as annoyed as I am this is a sort of a tongue in cheek article. I'm just continuing my rep as a levy hater that's all"

You said he was a 'Shrewd Genius'

Now you're agreeing that he's a ****

<laugh>

He is a shrewd genius, when it comes to finances.

Look at the way he's handled this Berahino affair!

Berahino is into the last year of his contract, come July of next year (ie. by the time the next Summer transfer window comes around). Levy has offer WBA (as far as we know) around £25 million for the player, but knowing that, if the lad does well, he's going to be worth double that, in a couple of seasons time. Quite understandably, Peace has told Levy to do one - I quite understand that, and I have no problem with it. However - and here is the fiendishly clever bit - Levy knows that if Peace does not sell the player in the January window for what Levy is prepared to pay, he'll pick the lad up for peanuts in the next Summer transfer window. ****ing genius! But, equally, a total **** (especially to WBA fans).

Yes, he's offered a derisory bid, been told to **** off, missed out on his target and ended up with Adebayor as back up to Kane. <laugh>

Arsenal fans planned to protest on Wednesday evening outside Emirates Stadium over the club's lack of action in the transfer window, but no-one turned up. (Independent)

<doh>
They couldn't organize a piss up in a brewery!

He is a spud so naturally he bottled it. He got pulled up by a few fellow spuds and back pedalled.

Anyway, that's all moot now as a number of this board's spuds have agreed with his comments. So unless they also back pedal, Don_totteringham's validation is no longer required.

Carry on :)

It was written partially in jest ("tongue in cheek" the author wrote), but the core of the sentiments expressed are those felt by every Spurs fan that I have been in contact with, including those on this site.

Unlike Mouser and Gooners, we do not slavishly follow the whims and dictates of our chairman simply because "he's a Spur!" We are not deluded, and we are not mugs, unlike the majority of the fans from those clubs I have mentioned.
<ok>

Spanners and Saints fans are rapidly closing in on Gooners and Mousers, getting far to above their stations, for my liking. It is a worrying trend, because I dare say that, soon, we'll have Palace fans following suit.
