Looks like it doesn't include QPR's dosh, but still looks a very 'well-balanced' transfer window. Results will show whether it was good or bad.

 

Not fussed with the net spend. In terms of judging the team and manager, gross is all that matters.

Anyone submitting something two minutes before a deadline is a moron, especially when the window is open a month, and the move has been obvious for a year.

So arguably this summer has been a 'reasonable' success - but frustrating because there's still no clear philosophy or enough put into the defence.

 

Shame how quickly credit isn't given by fans. Yeah West Ham was a ****up but Johnson -> Clyne is probably the best defensive improvement in the league.

I also think out philosophy will become clear 2nd half of the season. Our start is horrific and demands a more pragmatic approach.

we have improved year on year.. ther eis no question that we have addressed RB, we have worked on CM and we addressed bad issues up fornt. sterling was poison nomatter how talented or not. we have nobody else.

we now have a team. we have to get working harder and develop a new style.

I think peronslly lovern is not as bad as some make out. he is what he is. but he seems to be poison to rodgers and a stick to be beaten with.

Firmino has not got going.. entiehr has depay.. but we seem to be going nuts over one loss.

have we imroved? yes? did we **** away two seasons of transfer windows before this one... yes..

the issue was last summer and the summer before not this summer.

alberto, aspas, ilori, moses... and the list goes on and on.... last year lovern and lallana.

We've not done enough in prior years but thats the past. this summer we have improved... but we wee a genuine 6th/7th side last year. this year we have imporved to probably 5th best...

thats what the issue is people want 4th best.

no thats a starting point, i want us to be at the top again where we belong, we are a big enough club and have had the money'to compete, just have amateurish manager and owners.
