I simply cannot believe we've moved Bradders on, he was comfortably our best player last seaso, has shown he can cut it in the Premier League and his goals from midfield would have been vital this season so this cannot be football based decision, Alex Neil isn't stupid and from a footballing perspective it makes absolutely zero sense whatsoever.

Which suggests to me that something clearly isn't right in the dressing room or training ground, there has to be some kind of personality issue going on for Bradders to want out and for anyone at the club to want him out, and I have to admit I didn't see this coming at all.

Now it has it makes me think about something AN said in the presser last week after the cup game. Speaking about the Grabban situation he said something along the lines of "no player or group of players will have more power at the club than I will allow" them. At the time I quite reasonably assumed Grabban was the only problem in the squad, but thinking about it now perhaps the bit about "group of players" suggests there may have been some kind of cliquey thing going on with possibly people taking the risk of AN's wrath by siding with Grabban?

I dunno, it's clearly all speculation but something doesn't seem right at all, this move just makes absolute no sense whatsoever, it's certainly put the fans in meltdown and I can't imagine the players are too happy either.

Just a really confusing window, don't get it at all, we've made life very difficult for ourselves and I just don't get why.

Nah, bullshit (in the least offensive way possible). We got offered more than Johnson is worth (but less than he is worth to us at this stage of the window IMO) and accepted the offer. It is a lot for a 28 year old. But that money is no use to us now.

Sorry that makes no sense though. How can it be "more than he's worth" but "less he's worth to us"? I'm only interested in what he's worth to us, and that's far more than £8m which tells me there's more to it.

It's the POTS syndrome. Last year it was Snoddy (a quite sensible move for him at the time) and now it is Bradders which makes no sense to me and I guess a lot of City fans like me.

Can't quite work out why this is happened but I am very disappointed.

It's simple: Derby offered us much more than his market value. The second part was 'IMO' as in, I felt we get no benefit from the deal, but I don't sanction the clubs transfers.

But how can £6m be "much more than his market value"?? It clearly isn't based on some of the other deals going around. It might be a bit higher, but definitely not "much" and anyway he's worth far more than that to us, which is the important bit. And as you say yourself the deal has no benefit for the club, so why do it?

From all we know it makes no sense at all, that's why I think there must be more to it.

I thought it was a joke at first... We sold a player who was almost certain to feature and a fan favourite but left ourselves no time to buy a replacement.
I wish him all the best but I don't see why Derby is a more attractive proposition. Maybe they have more chance of playing in the PL next season? Personally I am disappointed.

I do worry if players aren't happy, that game on Sunday was very unlike us and no one looked up for it imo. I was disappointed Johnson is gone, but it's not the end of the world. With Mulumbu to come back and Brady to play further up field when Olsson is back, how much would Johnson actually play? perhaps he realised that and wanted to move on.

I'm going to see where we are in January before I start to panic, we could go on and pick up lots of points or we may not, have to wait and see.

Maybe the Grabban situation has been handled badly and has taken its toll on the squad after all.

Well that was a catastrophic transfer window...

Norwich have done the impossible and actually weakened their team after having been promoted. Remember the playoff final...the "£130m game"? What a complete joke! This window has now closed and Norwich have a net spend of £4m!!! Add to that we sell our best player to a bloody Championship side!!!

Mulumbu is PL quality and Vadis isn't going away for long. We are all disappointed with the transfer activity but I don't think we are weaker by any means. Sucks more to see our rivals bring in the players they have whilst we have been very quiet.

Yeah thinking about it I don't think we've weakened our team. I genuinely think the players we've brought in are an improvement, the only disappointing thing is we didn't bring in a top CB. We're leaking goals so you'd think that would be on the top of the list.

But that tweet from Redmond is very ominous, and with Grabban awol and Johnson wanted to move, you just feel something is not right behind closed doors, for me that is more of a worry than Johnson going and bringing in new players. Maybe this 2 weeks break is a good thing, see if AN can get it together.

To be honest, more than anything, the club have shot themselves in the foot.

The fact we did go for players which we obviously couldn't get, I do understand. (although quite a lot of fans have been vocal that we haven't done enough)

But to than sell out player of the season does seem slightly crazy, it's not as though we desperately need that £6 million. I don't think it's a fantastic deal myself, a midfielder in the championship who scores 10 upwards is worth more than £6 million in my book.

People writing it off as a once in a career season is harsh, he hasn't had a chance to recreate his form from last year and if he does it at Derby we've really played a stinker there.
