At the beginning of the window, AN said that we were looking for 6-7 players. So far, we have brought in 6, so one more and we've reached that target, 2 more and we've exceeded it. The question that worries me more is which players we'll be losing to allow more to come in.
I hope you're all right re: Johnson. It's not like he needs the game time; he's appeared in every match this season and, considering our performance at Southampton, will surely be starting the next one, if he stays?
One thing this transfer window has taught me - our scouting network, particularly overseas, is pretty bloody dreadful compared to that of our rivals
I'm getting very worried now about Johnson and Hooper apparently leaving. That would seriously undermine any progress we have made in this window.
It's building momentum. Johnson out, Lansbury in the latest rumour. Totally pointless; Derby fans will be dancing in the streets though.
I really hope we don't lose Johnson or Hooper, but if they feel they are 'down the pecking order' then I can see they might want to leave. Losing either or both would certainly weaken the squad IMO and unless there is a 'stellar signing' about to be announced, then I feel that we have not had a good transfer window!!!!
If he replaces Johnson, then that's a terrible move. I really like Lansbury, but not to replace Johnson.
If Johnson really does feel like he's "down the pecking order" then I'm afraid, and this may not be very popular, that has to be a serious failing on the part of our management team.
