Gayle would easily be at the top of my list.

He would bang in 15 goals in this league

to be fair i think both he and Vydra would do a job for us, get either one in and I`d be happy tbh

We still lack a striker with any physical and presence and will do even if we get Gayle or Vydra. We have this same problem every year.

Incidentally, it's weird how our fans are so snobby towards other clubs' strikers when ours have been so poor for so many years. Taking the piss out of Anichebe, Graham, etc. They'd improve us in the same way Carlton Cole would.

I really like Gayle as a player but he'll just be another stranded midget lone striker expected to hold it up. He could do with someone like Jelavic alongside him...

I'd take Carlton Cole any day. He brings a different dynamic and vitally some experience. Similar style players I'd also take in addition to someone quick are Shola Ameobi and Clayton Donaldson - I watched the game Derby v Brum and he was outstanding. Great touch and hold up play - he needs to play with a second striker rather than on his own.

Clayton returning like the prodigal son?
He's certainly improved since I saw him play for City reserves against Brid Town!

Didn't he score his only goal v York, years ago & I think it was back in the Vital Football days, people were comparing him to Bambi on ice & a Gnu, Gazelle or some other African beast that Lions like to munch on!

I think Graham gets some unfair stick he missed sitters and couldn't hit a bus on a bandstand with a biscuit barrel but he did contribute well to all round play and got involved in games.

I'm not sure, he looked like he had a decent touch but was very lightweight. He'll only have been very young though I'd think

From the bosrd rules, please take note of the highlighted part.

    1) Swearing

    Swearing is allowed.

If you wish to hide the swearing, either because you come on here with your kids, or because you come on at work and they have a swear filter that prevents access to offending sites* there is an optional swear filter on the site. At the very bottom left hand side of the site there's a drop down menu, select "no swearing" for the filter to be turned on, and "swearing" for it to be off.

People that are going to swear should be aware of that, there's no need to reverse any letters in ****, or spell **** with a k. All it will do is mean that the swear filter doesn't work for those that want it to, and could result in a partial or total inability for them to access the site if their work place has a stronger filter than the site does.*

*Work based filters can include schools, or even parental ones at home. The one they used to have on the computers when I was at school used to block the page and flag up the domain name to the admin staff. If a site repeatedly got blocked by the filter the admin would just disable access to it completely.

What the Billy Connolly was THAT all about Ben and what the hell is a "bosrd"?

Go on the Sunderland sight mate, they don't worry about swearing and they have a number of threads on Religion, Politics and Muslims where you can expound to your hearts delight without the fear of some 'do-gooder' telling you what a naughty boy you are. Mind you, where they are in the League they have to have something positive to talk about as their team doesn't have anything at the moment (and I do mean Graham).

Bosrd is a fat fingered typo of board. The "a" is next to the "s" on the keyboard.

Have another read & take it in.

**** is fine. ****e is fine, as is ****, bollocks, **** & piss.

When you fragment your sweary words, as a child would, it bypasses the site's profanity filter & therefore makes your words visible to those who may have activated their profanity filter. Like concerned parents who know their children peruse the board or boring old pensioners, sat all alone waiting for both a chance to be pedantic & god.

Fragmenting your profanities also makes it difficult for some working people to view the board at work because some work based filters pick up on the fragmented words & block the site.

So to keep it simple just use the profanity in it's entirety or not at all.

You can't blame "sight" instead of "site" on a fat fingered typo. That's just plain old illiteracy. Best to say nowt sometimes rather than looking a bit ****e with a capital S.
