sky italia are apparently saying that we've made a 13.1m offer for Witsel.

That's less than we offered this morning!! No wonder we're struggling to make signings!

Similar can be said for the sudden rumour of Lamela heading to Marseilles - presumably to replace Ayew, Thauvin and Payet at the same time. And you thought replacing Bale was a big ask...
 
Massive flourish of activity all over Europe over the past hour. Draxler to Wolfsburg. Good, keep him away from Arsenal.

And Ryan Fredericks joins Fulham after less than a month at Bristol. That's a weird one.

Just noticed that the most other leagues' transfer windows close this evening. How does that affect the PL? Can we only to PL to PL deals tomorrow?

All clubs can buy and sell whenever they like, its simply that they can't be registered to play in the league after today in Europe and after tomorrow in England and Scotland.

No mate, English sides can sign anyone up until 6pm tomorrow. But Spanish and others are closing up at midnight, so we'll find out by then if De Gea will be a Madrid player or not.
 
Well they've suspended betting on him which usually means one thing.

Someone drive round to Hugo's and chain him to his dining room table please.

Surely this means that us signing anyone from abroad tomorrow (hypothetical of course), would be even tougher, as the foreign clubs wouldn't be able to replace their departing player with anyone else?

We can buy from continental clubs, but can't sell to them.

Anyone see an obvious flaw in that?
 
Who cares? Unless some scottish club wants to buy Adebayor there isn't a single player north of the border worth buying.

Depends how you look at it mate, yes it'd suck if you lose a good/ key player after your deadline to buy players but the money English clubs can throw around is pivotal for many European clubs. I think you'll find a lot of these European clubs tend to buy their replacements before they sell their player anyway. It's usually why the English have to sometimes wait a while to be able to get their man as the selling club wants their new man first.

But forgetting Scotland, we can only sell him domestically after this evening, correct?
That's going to massively narrow our options down. We're gonna be stuck with him.

I think deep down there was a feeling by all Spurs fans that we wouldn't shift Ade. I held hope for Villa to get something done but it just looks too big of an ask to get him to go.
