Think Ambrose and Mulgrew would fit nicely or nicer in that system too. And good for young O'Connell too when he steps in.
Only issue is you need to stick with Janko and Izzy as fullbacks and we don't have many who can play that role, Liverpool failed with that system because he constantly changed the wingbacks depending on opposition which ****ed the whole team chemistry up.
You would also need to look at the 5 positions ahead. Would you go Biton, Brown, Johansen and then one behind Thumb??
I like Armstrong, think he has alot of hard work to do on fitness levels as come 60 minutes he's finished!
Who would you have as left wingback then? Buy in??
I'm just making assumptions that we can't find a decent fullback or centreback so we've got someone in who can potentially do a job in both.

I'm finding out as slow as Tony Cascarino on Qualuuds haven't had time to fiddle around with it yet though.
We won't know for sure until he faces the Litmus test of real footballing ability, the Premier League. Not until his natural ability is forged in the crucible of greatness shall his talent be appreciated.
