Brilliant last night though Mascherano was my MoM. Solid.

 

What are we looking for? To see if he is right footed? If we are only signing players who are two footed we're going to struggle.

I can't see the issue here at all.

 

I think he's the best FB in the PL. I should think the best PL teams will look at the best FBs in La Liga, etc, when looking so it's not that surprising

 

I don't think he's up there with the players those 2 sides already have though. That's my surprise. I don't think he will improve a hell of a lot either.

Looking at the "Comparable Players" on Transfermarkt has boosted my excitement. Just the type of player we need.

 

Wanyama supposedly left out of the Southampton squad today, as he tries to force through a move to Spurs.

 

Brilliant!! Forster, Bertrand and Clasie still out too. A lot of first teamers played on Thursday. A good a time as any to get something at St Marys.

 

Fair enough, I really do. I think he's been fantastic for the last two seasons.

Both the Everton matches I watched (Man City and Tottenham) he was Everton's best player

Well, certainly in the case of Bayern, I can see why they would want Coleman. Lahm is getting on now and Pep seems to prefer to play him in midfield which means there only natural RB is Rafinha on whom Coleman is undoubtedly an improvement.

 

Yes, true but with Bayerns pull and money, they could get any young talent.

Ironic that Erik Sviatchenko plays for the Danish team which put Southampton out of the Europa Cup! Much more like the sort of player we are likely to sign.

There's also an article on newsnow suggesting we bid £14.5m for N'Koulou at the end of last week, and Chelsea are also interested in him. Surely that's ridiculous.

 

Norwich have a massive problem convincing players above a certain level to come to the club, its always been the same story. What better way to try and show intent to the real transfer target than to make £15m approaches to such players, safe in the knowledge they would never agree to sign. It's a rather childish smokescreen IMO.
