Three days will decide our season

After a better start than we may have expected with three straight league wins we now face a nervous wait to see whether our team will be seriously weakened by last minute transfers.

All summer we have been hoping the key players, Austin, Phillips and Fer would have their futures settled quickly to enable us to sign decent replacements but, almost predictably, we face losing them in the frenzied scramble as the desperate handful of Premier League clubs who have made poor starts look to strengthen.

The last few weeks have seen several players we were linked with go to Championship rivals and we could end up seriously lacking if the last day of the window goes against us. I hope we don't find ourselves making sorry excuses on Wednesday morning...

We are at the stage of the transfer window now where if we lose any key players there probably isn't sufficient time left to replace them.

As much as right now I'm chuffed with the start of our season and our current position in the Championship I'm trying not to get carried away with it all.

I voted mid table in that recent poll but if by some miracle we can keep a couple i.e. Austin and grab a decent defender or two then who knows?

No fault with QPR here the blame (if the worst happens) lies squarely at the feet of the ludicrous transfer window business.

Not really sure that is fair - if Austin or Philips get a decent offer what can the owners do??

as for our position....
Sorry but we have the highest wage bill, have just come down from the Prem and have a few good players. We should be aiming high and let other teams worry about playing us. All this talk of mid-table or survival should be banned.

I think if we can keep hold of one of those three and bring in a couple of decent signings we'll be ok. Fer won't be so much of a loss as we're doing alright without him thus far. The problem may lie with Austin & Phillips going, but I'd expect us to have someone lined up. We've done well to keep our recent signings under the radar. I'd expect the incoming signings aren't publicly known yet should the need arise.

WE are £200m in debt thanks to him and his okay with sh@@e mangers spending like Hughes and Redknapp. Now we find ourselves in the Championship with a FFP bill and an average team. We still have no training ground or any movement on the stadium, we have blown 2 chances in the Premiership and have a shocking kit, and you thinks thats good. You need to get real.

Another thing worth noting is the lack of loan signings which is another point towards our holistic growth. Konchesky being the exception, but an understandable one until Yun or Kpweka get up to speed.
