If you're trying to trap an aerial ball, logic dictates it will involve a stamping down motion. When it all happens so quickly that kind of thing will happen. It doesn't have to be malicious.

I've seen the likes of Gareth Barry get away with absolute murder, horrific potential leg breakers. I just ask for consistency. I feel if any Arsenal player had done that it never would have been a red. Indeed, probably if it isn't Mitrovic it's not a red. Also, Mariner knew he should have given Arsenal a pen, hence he evened it up.

And Robbie Savage is really ****ing me off. He's got a downer on us and made a career out of being a ****house player with no talent. If referees were as strict as they are now he'd have been sent off every week.

Sounds like it was harsh, but maybe a blessing in disguise. Mitrovic needs to calm the **** down. What is he thinknig.
 
You get a reputation, and this is what happens. Having said that, this will really piss the crowd off big time, lets hope it psyches the Arsenal players out.
 
No, think it'll get rescinded, but this game is gone by the look of it. Shame too, we're looking alright. But yeah, putting down that kind of money for a dude who goes and gets himself sent off? Doesn't look too clever right now.

We (Swansea) seem to have dodged a bullet as far as Mitrovic goes - he's ruining your chances in these matches.

Dont' agree with that at all. I'm not watching the game and haven't seen the incident. If I'm trying to trap a ball though, I'll bring it down and cushion it with the top of my boot, I won't try and stamp on it like I'm a 4 year old <ok>

He will, its obvious that that will be the way to beat us. But proud of the way we held on and looked good against 11 men.

BTW no booking for Sanchez at the end? Less innocuous than Sissoko's challenge.
