    Barca 3-1
    Bayern 9-2
    Real 11-2
    Chelsea 9-1
    Man City 15-1
    PSG 18-1
    Athletico 20-1
    Juve 22-1
    United 22-1
    Arsenal 25-1

Seem about right. Chelsea have been one of the most consistently successful four sides in Europe for more than a decade.

City have been unlucky with draws in Europe and when they won titles the new seeding system was not in place which benefitted teams like Arsenal.

If City win more titles they should benefit from the new seeding system. Clubs like Arsenal that have survived on fourth spot and the old coefficient system may struggle to find group qualification so easy in the future, especially given their record in big games

Even third spot cannot be top seeded under new rules. Before a fourth spot club like Arsenal could be a high seed at group stage due to a high coefficient: for which, in part, you had Chelsea's success to thank. Your country's overall coefficient and success in Europe rubbed off on Arsenal's coefficient.

Many years you came fourth and piggybacked on your coefficient

For season 2014/15 new rules apply.

Arsenal finished fourth and entered CL under the old seedings rules. Do keep up.

The old seeding system was in place for several seasons. It has now changed. No longer can Arsenal come fourth or even third and rely on others' success to be a high seed while Bundesliga winners like Dortmund end up in pot 4. Good thing I say

Anyway back on topic, which Arsenal fans are less interested in for obvious historical reasons.

What do we think about the Winners' odds? Realistic?

<laugh> you've gotta love it that you had it pointed out twice that Arsenal finished third, not fourth and yet still posted this!

(By the way I think I get what your trying to say, you're just choosing poor words to say it lol)

Outside of the top three it's not really worth a bet. The best value though would be City who've looked impressive so far this season. The worst value would be Chelsea who've looked shambolic so far this season. If they're conceding more than an average of two goals a game in the PL then the better teams in Europe will be queuing up to have a go on them!

Athletico and Juve look the value each-way shots but can't be bothered to tie money up for 9 months.

got to love that you didn't understand the simple reply. He said you have many times qualified 4th, only Piskie took this to mean last season. In your many times qualifying, how many times have you been 4th. Quite a lot I'd wager in the last 10 years?

  12. These odds mean nothing. All they show is where punters are putting their money.

In reality, £ity is the only English club that has any chance of winning it, this season. I'd say that Chavs & United have about the same chance.

Arsenal has absolutely no chance of winning it, so 25-1 are pathetic odds! Whatever money you might ever contemplate putting on them would be better spent given to a friendly tramp. That way, you can feel good about yourself, even knowing that the tramp is going to blow it on meths.

Spurs have more chance of winning the CL, and we're not even in it! That's how useless Arsenal are! In fact, I really do think that FIFA ought to consider banning Arsenal from playing in the competition, since all they do is **** about and embarrass themselves!

City have no chance of winning it. Absolutely none.

Its funny watching people claim otherwise through. Its almost the same as 'next year is our year' from the scousers. It never becomes more likely, only more hilarious.

I would say a lot of Euro clubs would love to get into Chavbus FC, they look weak at the back, great in the middle but average up front.

Last 16 would be good for them.
££££ should do better, but time will tell
UTD and Arsenal last 8, if on form last 4

The odds do mean something because the initial odds are the opinions of the odds compilers who know a lot more than us mere mortals.

  17. Okay. I'll take your word for that, Watford!

Still, every £ placed on Arsenal is a £ wasted.

Best odds 8-1 for Real Madrid to get knocked out at the group stages with that fat spanish waiter in charge.

If you're feeling generous just go with them finishing 2nd in the group at 2-1.

You wont have to wait long to claim your winnings either.

    What a bitter little post
Are you struggling with the concept of being the cities second team?
    Get used to it
Only a matter of time before City are competitive in the champions league and it could well be this season

Going from 'not being in the city' to 'being the city's second team' is indeed a step up <laugh> good old city fans, that chip on the shoulder always eating away at them.
