I concur, but if anything happens the game would be moved, but as for Kiev the team, we should have enough and some to spare. I'm always one for keeping diplomatic links open and sport is a good way to do this. The last time we went to Israel, most of the team refused to go and we lost. This time however Roman has invested in the Israeli league so we will be welcomed by the Israelis at least. Roman has made no secret of his Jewish pride.
This morning I was mulling over a number of the awkward possibilities that could confront us in the draw. I am happy to say none of them has happened. I am happy with this draw aside from all the long distance journeying!
Blimey, Auckland travel to Perth in the Aussie league and dont give it a thought. Six and a half hours, and they fly economy. If our team cant take a 4 hr business class flight as part of a days work, they need to try a proper job. Soft is the word that springs to mind if they use travel as an excuse.
Dates and times out now as well. After Porto away...a home game. After Maccabi away...an away game but a big gap Tuesday-Sunday. After Kiev away...an away game (Hammers) with a Tuesday- Saturday gap. All in all, we've done well. Get Pogba and Stones over the line and we could start dreaming of Milan in May !
Safe trips come to mind - Conflicts area Tel Aviv & Kiev. Not sure who is going to do favors to their rivals. City to Help Manu by buying KDB? or Chelsea to help CIty by buying Pogba?
Think City might find it quite difficult again. I think they'll just about go through though. Uniteds group is well balanced but I fancy them to go through and I think Arsenal will qualify in second before they inevitably crash out in the last 16. We've got difficult places to go to but should go through. I'll be disappointed if we don't top our group quite comfortably.
City always manage to make hard work of the CL, I think its down to tactics and the difference in style needed in the CL. They do look well sorted for this campaign and should go through, as do we. Last years negativity has hopefully been binned this year. We have no one to fear in our group, and a focused approach should see us comfortably through.
Can someone explain to me why he looked decent but not special at Chelsea to suddenly being a world superstar? He rarely got into your team as I recall. Was his qualities obvious to Chelsea supporters, as I don't recall any outrage when he was sold?
After a successful loan spell with Werder Bremen he came back to Chelsea when Mourinho took over. Mourinho doesn't like young players in his team as they aren't the finished article so the lad got almost no game time and was sold in January. I'm sure there will be a few compelled to disagree with me but the facts speak for themselves. Mourinho doesn't trust young players.
