Were we outplayed? Had plenty of chances. Some of those who played last night will never be good enough. Some just aren't there right now but need games like last night to improve. Every young player will be better for having had that 90 minutes.
See Everton have risked Stones and Lukaku ... Those two players are worth more than our current squad Hope they aren't tired for the weekend poor things They have only got to play Spurs Saturday evening
It has been a hell of a fight and now both are playing extra time. I am glad Chery, Ned, Phillips, Ale and Austin didn't have to do that
Furlong looks to be picking up where he left off last season. He was roasted for Carlisle's winner. He has no upper body strength. Very unlike his old man in that regard.
You must have been taking your tablets judging by all your eminently sensible posts today! But then I haven't seen anything of the game....
Neither have I but as a fanbase, QPR fans are becoming too expectant as a general rule. People seem to relish jumping on Ramsey and the team after every poor result. I'm not saying blindly back him but give the bloke a chance. The problems in the club will take years to totally fix, not weeks, and so far this season I'm pleased with what he's doing even if it doesn't work instantly all the time.
Would more upper body strength have made him quick enough to catch Asamoah? I've got loads of upper body strength but would lose a race to Bob Malcolm.
It's risk and reward. The chances of injuring one of the first choice XI is pretty high when it's their third game in a week and on paper the team sent out should have done enough to get the job done. If simple chances are put away it becomes a routine win.
I'm deeply deeply concerned about our defence, simply not good enough for me, in both reserve and first team.
It is my job to carry out diagnostic tests, and even if I say it myself I am not bad at my job ....but my ability, productivity, accuracy and safety decreases if I do it more than 8 hours a day....a 12 hour day...and I am shattered...dangerous, wrong, ineffective. There is no difference between what I do and what they do Oddball
Who? Last season it was Sanchez he had no right to stop and now its a League Two player. Who next? Tony from the Dog & Duck XI is too hot for any full back to handle
Well I imagine it's about 250k and they work 90 minutes on match day Beth it's rubbish ... The science is rubbish IMO but worse than that CR has now knocked the confidence of the second tier ... Plus some of our workers may walk out for new jobs in a few days ... The club is out of a cup Our Defence needs playing every day for two weeks IMO As for my work I am job and finish So I go until it's done
I am very upset that our club is playing silly buggers .. We have had an overhaul and nothing IMO is better than stability. I can already tell you how bad this board will be on Sat if we get thumped ... And for once I will agree with them Of course I hope we get a result if we have any players left but at least the poor little souls will have the international break to rest We don't play Forest until the 12th! The game last night required our best 11 IMO ... Its total bullshit
Ramsey could have scored easy points had he played a first 8 or 9 and mixed in a few as you say. The club have been told about our frustrations at cup performances and yet they dished that up. It's not good enough. especially when people spout on about 'learning' from past mistakes. The reports suggest he choked again and didn't react with the subs, but as we didn't name the ones who bother to play but want to go, or the ones who 'can't' play in case we sell to a club still in the cup. We also lost, so a current player can help another club do something we don't give two ****s about, try and win a cup ! Still lots of 'learning' to be done. What we should do is cup tie the player and not give a ****. It's quite simple really, no one's offering the fees asked so they'll be sold on the cheap in the end anyway.
Our strongest team with a couple of trials and a strong bench to win that game of football. It was that simple And the resting of players is rubbish
It's not rubbish when it would be those players' third game in seven days. Our squad is wafer-thin in certain positions. An injury to Onuoha, Austin, Faurlin, Phillips or Chery would be a nightmare right now.
If, as an uninjured professional footballer, you are deemed to be unable to play 2 games in a week, surely that makes you a part timer and it should be reflected in your pay packet? At last I have found the perfect profession for zero hours contracts. On Tuesday night I wasn't too bothered about this result because it felt inevitable. But on reflection, I'm getting increasingly pissed off. Fielding a significantly below strength team was an insult to supporters sick of being knocked out of cups in early rounds to lower league opposition. If we are going to lose at least let our best players lose, trying as hard as they can. It also ruins, for another year, my one remaining dream for QPR, that I get to see them play away at least once in Europe before I croak. They have another 20 goes at this if I live to the national average death age for men (unlikely, I fear), and I would prefer it sooner rather than later as I don't want the experience to be tainted by worrying about where the nearest acceptable toilet is or whether I can make it up the steps to my seat. The slimmest of slim chances is us getting to the final of the League Cup and losing to a top 4 team, sneaking into the Europa League by the back door (or do you actually have to win it?), or via the fair play league thing. I know, I know, but a dream free life isn't worth living.
