Two small ew wagers at York
1.55 Dutch Masterpiece
4.20 Heartbreak City-Tony 'gangsta' Martin bottom weight

Here in East Yorkshire, it has been raining steadily for the last four hours. There are large puddles in the street and the lunchtime BBC weather forecast showed that this weather is being repeated thirty-odd miles west of here in York.

On their official website, York Racecourse reports the going as “Good, Good to Firm in places” and they have had 4mm of rain to 12:30pm on Tuesday. Their forecast says “overcast with light rain 20 degrees”. The TurfTrax going map shows that the “Good to Firm” parts are the two bends.

So if you are paying the rip-off £31 to go to tomorrow’s six race card for the Gleneagles v Golden Horn showdown, expect an announcement five minutes before the first race that one or other of them is a non-runner if the word “Soft” is in the going report tomorrow morning. Just like the Toff Rogues at Ascot withheld the information on King George day to avoid lost ticket sales, the Tyke Rogues will do the same.
You are right of course

The bookmakers really are a joke - Golden Horn freely available at4/6 this morning, on the announcement of Gleneagles not running they all clip the Derby winner to a general 4/9.

I was looking forward to seeing Gleneagles run in the Juddmonte International, to see if he'd stay the trip for starters! Golden Horn really should confirm Eclipse form with The Grey Gatsby, but because Jamie Spencer is riding the latter, not confident of straight forecast bet!

God, when old Boris Fenster gets verbal and/or writing diarrhoea, there just ain't no stopping him! :emoticon-0100-smile

Mug bet? Bogart and Humphrey Bogart? Not as forlorn as most mug bets! But I am going for .....

Bing Bang Bong in the 2-30Y

Good luck all

They ended up quite central at the finish though stick - the winner broke really well but the 2nd was held up and switched towards the centre of the track. Very few got into the race so I'm not sure there is a huge draw advantage.

Middle to low looked to have an advantage, Tangeree Trees (correct me if I'm wrong) is normally up with the pace but drawn 20 couldn't get within 3 lengths of them at the start
