Lallana didn't do anything wrong offensively either. He maintained possession and kept the moves going. You just don't like him or his price tag.

You're right - I don't like him or his price tag but do you want me to lie and say he played well?

What meaningful contribution did he make, excluding work rate and defensive duties? He doesn't keep play moving - he';s actually very slow on the ball and that's after he does about 50 turns on the ball only to end up further away from the goal.

I do find it amusing that you always bring up the 'bias' argument when responding to me rather than actually trying to argue against me. <ok>

Lallana is a nothing player in that side. He floats about doing what exactly?

He's not great on the cover, he's doesn't create much, his finishing is largely mince, what the **** does he add? As I can't see it, and for £25m you got arse raped imo. (and his fee is relevant as that kind of money should have bought you a top drawer player)

Yes.... One had a decent 7/10 game and the other had a 5/10 (being generous). I really like Ibe, but he had a poor game yesterday and against Stoke he wasn't brilliant.

Think he needs to drop out and be used as impact sub for few games before works his way back in.

Id play can hendo Milner in cm. cout and Lallana wide of benteke going into arsenal game.

Can;t agree with the 7/10. But let's move on.

Agree - we badly need 3 in the midfield. Hendo and Milner are too limited in that respect.

I used to argue the case against you all the time Jimmy, nowadays I'm wiser to it and prefer to not bother wasting my time <ok>

For the record, I didn't say he'd played well either. He just didn't play badly.

What did he actually do last night then?

As I must have missed it.

He was the worst player in red on that pitch imo.

I thought Ibe was worse than Lala. Lala did **** all but Ibe did **** all and gave the ball away repeatedly.

3 points and some positives from last night. It's the second game in. What the **** were you expecting? Benteke and Clyne were ace. Coutinho improved. Gomez has huge potential. Can will be massive. Some good pressing and obvious commitment. The twat above isn't having the last word <laugh>

After 70 years of watching football I would have thought that you'd have better sense than to make a claim like "Can will be massive". Unless you meant that he will one day get very, very, very fat.

Already said that I think Ibe was our worst player last night. Lallana didn't give the ball away, link up play and worked for the team. I also said he was great but nor was he bad, he did what was needed of him. Do I think we should expect more? Yes. Do I think he deserves the criticism he's getting, not at all. I think he's become the new scapegoat following Glen Johnson's departure.

Would take a point from Arsenal game without kicking a ball now. Who is not happy if its more than a point???.
A point at the Emirates is always a good result. They only lost at home twice last season and they've already done so once already this, so history says that they won't lose at home for a second successive game.

I think you've been somewhat fortunate to take 6 points from your opening 2 games and I think you'll have to significantly improve to get anything next Monday.

Well it worked for lampard and molby.

More than Lovren, or is that justifiable scapegoating as he is utter ****.

You're right - Ibe did lose the ball but he lost the ball trying to make things happen. And he also beat his man a couple of times and made some good runs.

Lallana is just a coward. He is basically downing but with less pace. No incision or penetration in his passing.

I rather have Ibe lose the ball trying to play forward and make things happen than have Lallana just look pretty and shift the ball to the nearest man. We already have Hendo and Milner to do that.

Or just get very very lucky again :D

watched the game again.... coutinho actually had 3 good chances he fluffed on the right side of the pitch. i really want him back on the left.

benteke really gave them the torrid time most defenders (skertl knows) get off him.

LFC simply didn't really do well enough at CM to dominate the game and kill them off.

Ibe on the left didn't work... rodgers needs a rethink there.

didn't help that lallana wanted to play the same slow as well mind... on top of ibe half the time.
