I trust Ba is fit to play instead of Ceballos. GL may feel the need to rest Solly and Diarra. Sarr could replace Diarra, but replaclng Solly is more difficult. It would not be Charles-Cook because he played today. One possibility is Cousins, with Bergdich coming in at LM. But I think Solly will play. If he was going to be left out they would have taken Charles-Cook, if only for cover. If we have a full team I think we can manage at least a draw.
Sorry ladies and gentleman, I completely forgot this one, on account of a series of dates I've been on.
I'm pretty sure a football fan is allowed to think with his other balls once in a while ** apologies for crudeness of that last post
I can't see GL making any changes to the defence, which has been solid, and Ba for Ceballos should be the only change unless anybody is injured. I don't think Big Mak is an automatic choice because he's not a lot of cop with his feet, but will keep his place for the time being because of what he gives us in the air, especially in defence. I think most of games will be close and this one could be another 1-1. Jackson with a late equaliser.
Solly was playing Saturday and Tuesdays under Luzon last season, so hope he will be able to manage that again tonight. I wouldn't be surprised to see Ba return in place of Ceballos - I am yet to read a comment stating trying him on the left worked, so it will be down to Cousins to move out wide again.... unless Bergdich is ready to start. I always have a certain confidence when we play forest, perhaps down to several members of the family supporting them and encouraging me competitive nature - but see a draw as a minimum tonight, and think we could get all 3 points. 1-2 (Diarra, Watt)
I think that this is a game we can win. Forrest have been hit with the transfer embargo from their purchase of Assombalonga, having failed to make payments to Peterborough United. He's still out on long term injury, and have been unconvincing in both their games against Brighton and Rotherham (having won coming from behind). After watching our performances, I believe this is a match we should win, providing we can get more than one goal, as it's proved against strong opposition, i.e. Derby, and throughout the championship as a whole, it's rare for a team not to score. If any of you are interested, Dougie Freeman has spoken about our club in the press: http://www.nottinghampost.com/Charl...Championship/story-27624015-detail/story.html He might be already making excuses to when he loses?
I have fond memories of the City Ground, starting in around 1988 when a brilliant volley from Robert Lee gave us a late 2-2 draw against Cloughie's very decent side. I still have the Charlton Season Highlights video from that season somewhere, and I can clearly be seen celebrating amongst our paltry away support
My very first match was 1989, and I was only five at the time. Don't know whom it was against, and couldn't remember much about it.
Are you sure?.... ...... "Get a grip man" as Luzon was often heard saying to 5" 3" on Saturdays and Tuesdays last season
Won't be on the television. Don't think there is a stream available. Most of them around will be European matches, you rarely get another country showing a championship match. It's usually just Sky.
? Seem to remember him pulling double duty after Peeters left. Gomez had the game there before Luzon moved him to his preferred CB position.
Sounds like we should have six goals, if you're watching SkySportsNews Makienok is having a quality game so I hear... Feel a goal a coming next half
We have to convert one sooner or later. Let's hope we're not punished for failing to score in the first half
